We are a couple in our mid 20's and wanted a nice hotel to come back to after a night out in Central. The room was a good size, Lovely decor, fresh clean bedding and towels, Very comfy spongey mattress, Waterfall shower, large wide screen tv, tea and coffee, hair dryer...everything. Best nights sleep we have had in a while.... More

We chose this hotel due to it's location (and price). Check in is over the road in another hotel but only 100 yrds or so. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and had nice views over the quiet square. Hard to believe you are in central London. Our room was also upgraded for free which was... More

The outside looks quite fancy but inside the room is a different story. The light fitting above the bed is coming off the wall, the shower door is hard to close and can leave a gap for water to escape, the bathroom cabinet is too low and could bang your head, and the strangest one is that the light can... We came in London from 4 days for the New Year, for a couple trip. From outside, the Albion hotel is nice and looks like a little house... However when we arrived, we were suprised by the little litlle room... (around 10 m2) + a 2 m2 bathroom... Ok for a couple for 3 days but no more. The decoration... More

We chose this hotel because we needed to be near King's Cross station. Looking at the reviews here it's clear that it is like a roulette. Unfortunately for us we are now on the group who had very bad luck. The thing that I can praise is the fact that management dealt with our complaint very quickly and favorably. My... More

I payed 160pounds for a triple room. I was only staying with my sister, but we wanted more space. It was a very small room with a small bed jammed next to the double bed. It clearly was a double room with an extra bed. No space to move, we had to crawl over the bed to get past each... More

Well where to begin? I suppose I should start with the temperature seeing as it appears to be a big topic with this hotel, so having read plenty of reviews post booking we got ourselves giggling with the apparent warmth that the hotel alledgedy projected, well they weren't wrong, and it was so funny. It's not like it was unbearably... More

I booked The Albion House for my parents to stay mid October 2015. I left notes in the booking saying that my mum and step dad were older people. I was hoping they would try to assign them a room in a lower floor. It was mid-week in October and the hotel was half empty, however, my parents were given... More

Dear Sir thanks for your review we appreciate your feedback . The contents of your review are not entirely true. You did request a lower floor room for your parents and as the hotel was fully booked ( October is a busy month and mid weeks are extremely busy ) the options for room swaps are limited for the room... Having arrived at Albion House we were directed to The Melville Hotel to check in. This wasn't a large problem as such as it was just a few doors down. We were greeted by a friendly man who told us we couldn't check in yet but that we could leave our luggage until 2pm which was fine. We arrived back... More

You get what you pay for: Small rooms without breakfast but location is close to King's Cross Station. We had Full English breakfast in Italian restaurant nearby. Groceries, tickets for subway also right around the corner. Nice pub and Indian restaurant 5 minutes away. Sheets was not changed in one of our rooms when we arrived so check that before... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
