I stayed in June of this year, with my adult daughter, in a twin bed room -- very large, very clean and comfortable. Loved breakfast in the Club and enjoyed meeting some of the guests. Staff was terrific and happy to help us figure out the tube and bus travel.

I have stayed at this property three times, all with good results, this latest time with my son who had a single room. I had a "superior" room which I recommend for a slight increase in price and still good value. The Club is in what has to be one of the quietest and most charming residential neighborhoods of London.... More

On arrival the staff were very welcoming and it certainly looks the part from the street. The room it self was small but functional and very clean. The unfortunate down side was the bathroom which had missing grout between the floor tiles. A cracked basin and a shower that whilst powerful was tiny and the door refused to stay fully... More

Basic, clean and conveniently located, nice walks around, fairly quiet area. It was right next to the venue for the event I was attending and worked out well. Mecklenburg square right across. Windy stairs might not be very good for large heavy suitcases; fortunately I travelled light. There are rooms closer to entrance, maybe those have an easier access. Breakfast... More

I am an old resident of William Goodenough House and love staying here. The location is superb with easy access to the main museums galleries and shopping. The staff are helpful and friendly. I was given a spacious modernly furnished room with a very comfortable bed overlooking the square. Yes there are a few quirks. My room got hot as... More

Didn't stay at the club but instead we booked ourselves into one of the apartments in William Goodenough house (just round the corner from the Club). Excellent location, nice big two bedroom apartment with a fully functional kitchen. The place is well located in a quiet part of Mecklenburgh square and is a 10 min walk to Kings cross. Word... More

Stayed in a double room at the club this week and conclusion was that it's expensive for what you get. Small room, cramped facilities, and no lift. Location was great and the staff were good. Breakfast in the basement location was basic. The main place for breakfast involved a short walk (100 metres or so) and was ok. Overall it... More

The Goodenough is more than good enough (using a pun that almost every other review must have used). Great access from Kings Cross station, with good, clean, basic rooms. Breakfast is well catered, and there are good vegetarian options.

The Goodenough club is a great option when looking for accommodation in London. It's in a good location for Kings Cross and Bloomsbury, and convenient for visitors to GOSH and UCL. It's not your usual hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms vary is size, and if you have trouble with... More

Terrible pun but a great, central place at reasonable prices. Bear in mind that it is not a hotel as such but provides accommodation for postgraduate students and academics so you'll have breakfast at long communal tables. Rooms are of very good size for London standards with free wifi and even bathrooms are not quite as minuscule as in other... More
