Stayed here 2 nights on a work trip to London. The location is excellent - lovely square, very quiet, yet close to shops and amenities (underground, trains, pubs/restaurants and British Museum). The room was pleasantly roomy (for London) and the wifi worked well. The breakfast was a bonus. Have stayed in many similarly priced hotels in London and it's hard... More

Stayed here with a friend for 5 nights and both of us found the experience to be very pleasant. Location wise, the Goodenough club is in a nice leafy, quiet neighborhood, quite close to several bus stops and a tube station and is even within easy walking distance to the British Museum. The breakfast buffet provided in the main hall... More

Nice hotel/club to visit Londen. Ten minute walk to metro. We stayed in the rooms behind the main building. Nice little rooms with a small bathroom. Good enough to visit Londen, you don't have the time to stay long in your room. Television may be replaced (needs 5 minutes to warm up), Bathroom with little shower and not so much... More

Booked here for a short work trip, as i needed to be near Kings Cross station. Lovely room in a lovely hotel, in a very quiet, leafy area, super close to Bloomsbury. the staff were excellent, and i have absolutely no complaints about the room or the hotel - it was as stress free a stay as possible. Having two... More

Stayed here because accommodation was booked for me. Narrow, winding staircases with no lift - made me worried about what would happen in a fire. Bathroom was not clean - previous occupants (or cleaner) had emptied red wine in the basin and this had not been cleaned. Shower was tiny- and leaked. But the worst was the lack of sound... More

“Location was great, convenient. Quiet and leafy area. Beautiful private park across the road. Close to Russell Square station, although Kings Cross station is easier as there are not so many stairs like RS. Rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. WiFi good. The breakfast was extensive and excellent! Check out the local... More

I first stayed here 20+ years ago, and found the place has been upgraded a lot since then. Good, clean, comfortable room, well set up for a visiting academic (academics and postgraduate students from the Commonwealth are the original target customers of Goodenough College and its predecessors). Very helpful staff--I arrived far too early for the check-in time because of... More

I stay in the William Goodenough House for two nights in early October and really like the location and the spaciousness of the accommodation. The accommodation is only 10-15 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station, which is handy for people like myself coming from Scotland. However, the house is in a quiet square and my room overlook a lovely spacious... More

Visited in September for a week with my teen daughter. Bookended by the Dickens Museum at one end of the street and The Foundling Museum across the green, Goodenough Club features high ceilings, helpful staff and great curb appeal. We had a pleasant well maintained room. Nice coffee drawer. Ground floor room so easy to get luggage in and out.... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
