I stayed here for a couple of days on business. The room was very nice, and my only complaint is that it felt like a fish bowl and with not much privacy! It was on the ground floor in a place where other guests pass by and two of the walls are glass. There are blinds which you can close,... More

Such a mixed bag: nice neighborhood but very hard to find, nice building t annoying renovations with rooms perched up and down multiple rickety flights of stairs, good breakfast!!, nice staff , but no real lobby. Stairs are a health hazard, and rooms face a strange internal corridor..

In right location for a next day business conference. More apartment than room but definitely not what I would expect from a 4 star establishment. Room upgrade spacious but in basement! Breakfast arrangements complex according to whether continental or full English (different buildings). Staff very helpful and accommodation clean.

Stayed at the Goodenough Club in March for my birthday. Beautiful row of georgian houses.Booked the suite which overlooks the garden at the front. Quiet street, 10 mins walk from Kings Cross, close to Russell Sq. Breakfast taken at the College just accross the road, buffet style with every choice imaginable. Staff very friendly, helpful and proffesional. If you like... More

Booked this as part of a birthday stay in London for my wife at for the Sunday night over last week's bank holiday. The hotel reception staff were helpful and we were taken to the downstairs yard area where our room was one of the outdoor chalet type rooms. It was decorated in a modern style with a more Mediterrean... More

I spent 3 nights at the Goodenough Club and really enjoyed it. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance from the Russell Square underground as well as the British Museum. It was very convenient traveling to the airport, since I took the underground from Heathrow to Russell Square. The breakfast was delicious, the staff helpful and welcoming. The room... More

The welcome was extremely friendly and polite, offer to carry luggage up the stairs for me as no lift. Bedroom very well appointed - hairdryer, GOOD tea/coffee/biscuits and water in the room. Bathroom small but not cramped and clean, with toiletries.MUCH better than a similar style hotel I stayed in recently in London. Walking distance to Kings Cross, St Pancras,... More

This is a simple property with few amenities. Located in a very walkable, quiet neighborhood near Russell Square, this property is connected with Goodenough College. The location is great for activities in Bloomsbury, the British Museum, UCL, and transport hubs like Kings Cross and St. Pancreas stations. The Brunswick Center is a short walk away and has great shops, restaurants,... More

On a very quiet square in Bloomsbury is a treasure of an hotel. We were introduced to the location by a SOAS colleague and have been back twice since. On our second visit we had a delightful 3rd floor room facing the street; this month a very quiet, cozy ground floor room. An amazing variety of breakfasts are served (free... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
