I can't believe this is a 4 star hotel! We didn't enjoy our stay. Room 231 @ £130 was cramped with a double bed. The shower had mould in every corner. Staff didn't know the way any where so we had to sort ourselves out. Breakfast in Goodenough College was interesting architecturally, but it was Do It Yourself, there were... More

A lovely listed building in a very quiet area. Food is excellent whether taken in the Club or in the adjacent College. The problem being in the basement was the peace and quiet depended upon those in the above room. For 3 out of our 2 nights it was peaceful but then we had 2 nights where our windows were... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was good value for money and spacious. I had a basement room which was superbly quiet, no traffic noise, hence a good nights sleep. went for the continental breakfast option, though was offered a full breakfast in the college, the continental offering was plentiful and well laid out. I will stay again.

I was taken to the Goodenough club for one nights stay, as a birthday treat, after visiting the theatre. The staff were polite and helpful and we'd been upgraded to the suite. This room was amazing, beautifully decorated and very grand. Our room faced the square with a beautiful outlook. It was clean tidy and the bed was wonderful. Breakfast... More

I was in London on business (and some pleasure as well) a while ago and booked this hotel due to its proximity to King's Cross train station, we had a meeting the next day in Stevenage and it was convenient in the sense that we could walk to King's Cross in the morning. Upon arrival it was clear that this... More

Just got back from one week break in London , first time at Goodenough Club , our room was a superior double on the third floor , nice view on the private garden, extremely quiet. Room was large, extremely clean , furniture ikea looking but functional, no air conditioning but temperature easy adjustable to your needs the old way (windows... More

We stayed in the club last fall. It is quite central and is located in quiet and pretty square. Close to Russel square tube station it is accessible to all key tourist areas. The hotel itself is in an old but well kept building. If you manage to get members rate considering its location it offers good value for money.

Great place to stay I central London - I've stopped here a few times now. The rooms vary a bit (from pokey / seen better days to newish looking / great in the most recently renovated bits), but all in a gorgeous Georgian building. Can have a continental breakfast downstairs, or a good cooked breakfast in the fabulous college hall,... More

My husband and I stayed here for NYE and we were delighted with its location. It's very close to the tube which means it's an ideal choice if you are visiting London's tourist attractions. The room itself was good, a couple of loose tiles in the bathroom but overall very clean, and perfectly adequate. We loved the comfy bed and... More

Stayed here 2 nights on a work trip to London. The location is excellent - lovely square, very quiet, yet close to shops and amenities (underground, trains, pubs/restaurants and British Museum). The room was pleasantly roomy (for London) and the wifi worked well. The breakfast was a bonus. Have stayed in many similarly priced hotels in London and it's hard... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
