The welcome was extremely friendly and polite, offer to carry luggage up the stairs for me as no lift. Bedroom very well appointed - hairdryer, GOOD tea/coffee/biscuits and water in the room. Bathroom small but not cramped and clean, with toiletries.MUCH better than a similar style hotel I stayed in recently in London. Walking distance to Kings Cross, St Pancras,... More

This is a simple property with few amenities. Located in a very walkable, quiet neighborhood near Russell Square, this property is connected with Goodenough College. The location is great for activities in Bloomsbury, the British Museum, UCL, and transport hubs like Kings Cross and St. Pancreas stations. The Brunswick Center is a short walk away and has great shops, restaurants,... More

On a very quiet square in Bloomsbury is a treasure of an hotel. We were introduced to the location by a SOAS colleague and have been back twice since. On our second visit we had a delightful 3rd floor room facing the street; this month a very quiet, cozy ground floor room. An amazing variety of breakfasts are served (free... More

I stayed in a twin room with a friend and we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the rooms were. The reception staff were so helpful with keeping our luggage safe until that evening as we were too early to check in. The only downside is that the location for the breakfast is in two separate buildings but other than... More

A friend of ours suggested this hotel which is an offshoot of the Goodenough College (a post graduate college mainly for overseas students) The Club is a series of converted Georgian houses overlooking leafy Mecklenberg Square in a surprisingly quiet area not far from Bloomsbury and the Russell Square Tube and Kings Cross and the British Libarary. The multilingual (English,... More

I stayed in a twin toom with a colleague. The hotel occupies several townhouse on the street all next to each other so when we checked in we were given keys and went outside to a house two doors down. The room was much larger than most townhouse hotels I have stayed in and had a great large bathroom. Wasn't... More

I had completely forgotten this place until I needed to book for next month in London. I was looking through the ads for hotels and my memory was jogged. Sorry readers, I should have warned you earlier. This Club is neither a B&B nor a Youth Hostel, but it should be compared to those entities if it is to be... More

Many thanks for your feedback. We are really surprised by your feedback as it doesn't sound like our establishment. We only offer breakfast for our food and beverage offering and you are right we are neither a guest house or a bed and breakfast. We are four start accredited accommodation located in a beautiful square in Bloomsbury, in a very... More

Disclaimer: I'm a former resident of Goodenough College (an incredible place). That said, this was my first stay at the Club and was impressed by this exceptional suite. My partner and I checked in early, having been offered courteous service by the Easter weekend desk staff. We were directed to our room on the second floor of '22' (I should... More

I liked the outlook of the premises. The College offers a very nice breakfast. The Club personnel is friendly. The views from the rooms I have been assigned over my 2-3 visits have usually been rather nonexistent, but stepping out from the hotel makes it all up. The public transport connections are very good if you don't mind walking some... More

I stayed here for my birthday weekend and it was dreadful. I was put in the mews and it was a glass box with blinds for sound proofing, I could hear chatting and laughing and I felt very nervous and unsafe. I tried changing rooms and they were booked up. It seemed to me that they left the worse rooms... More

HI Hat 422. Sorry to hear your review. Even more perturbed you think we have put you in a terrible room to ruin your birthday. The mews rooms are very secure being in a enclosed courtyard which can only be accessed through our 24 hour reception, they are our most requested rooms by our regulars but its not to all... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
