I stayed for one night. The staff was super friendly. The room was cozy and clean. The coocked food breakfast around the corner is a must. Reasonably priced. Loved and will come back. The downside is the lack of elevator (if you have heavy luggage) and the fact that the rooms are numbered is an odd way. It is very... More

We had a great stay at the Goodenough Club. Its generously sized family room fit the four of us comfortably. Breakfast was served in the Great Hall of Goodenough College, Hogwarts to our two boys! But it was the location which really set this place apart. Only 10 minutes walk from the British Museum, the British library and St Pancras... More

Perfect spot for our trip to London for new years eve and a short walk from Euston, Kings cross, St Pancras and to the tube at Russell Square The rooms are small but modern with a great shower. Most are in two storey mews out the back. I read the low reviews on here about small rooms before we went,... More

We stayed here when my partner was giving a lecture at the London School of Economics, and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a peaceful location, and the room was a great place to relax after the business of our days out. The bathroom featured an amazing rain shower, and we felt the prices were reasonable for a... More

An interesting experience! The situation is good, 10 minutes walk form both Kings cross and Russell Square, in a lovely square. Very easy to find. Although we had just a standard room it was on the 'lower ground floor' - with the only window out on to a small alleyway. Nice, large bed and a fantastic shower room (looked recently... More

Many thanks for your feedback, always appreciated. We do offer the opportunity to book garden view rooms but i does depend on your method of booking. We always recommend booking direct on our site. We have spent a large amount on the bathroom upgrades and I maintain our bedrooms are spacious for London. I have worked in many Hotels and... More

We had a one night stay this month. We were placed in a family room, very good bathroom facilities, the room was large and clean. On a negative note it was at the back of the building and was noisy with traffic, also the room was extremely hot even with the windows open. Breakfast however was good value and extremely... More

Many thanks for your kind words. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. The rear of the Club is a courtyard so not quite sure how you could hear a road. We are located in one of the quietest spots i know of in London. Please do visit us again and we hope to welcome you back to... More

I felt almost reluctant to write this, because I want to keep this place all to myself. This was a lovely stay. The room and bathroom were immaculate, the service was warm and friendly. It had a much homelier feel than the usual corporate hotels. We had a fantastic breakfast included which was in halls across the road, an interesting... More

Stayed 2 nights for a weekend break. Easy to find. Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Very clean room, housekeeping standards very high. (upgraded from twin to a suite with a HUGE bed!) The bonus being a fridge in the room to store a few beers! Nice view over the square and only 5 minutes from Russell Square tube station. Full... More

Had a basement room. No curtains just Venetian blinds and roller blinds which I'm sure some designer thought would be very classy. Unfortunately, both were broken and had been for some time by the look of it. As a result, neither blocked out the security light outside and it illuminated the room all night, so sleep was almost impossible. Really... More

Many thanks for your review. To clarify we do not have basement rooms, we have lower ground floor rooms but all have windows and natural daylight. This is common in London. In addition in our courtyard we have 12 mews rooms, some of the most popular rooms in the Club. They did have binds but are currently all being replaced... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
