This is the first time in this hotel although we have stayed at a sister hotel many times. This is a small but lovely hotel brilliantly situated 15 mins walk from Kings Cross and 15 mins walk from Covent Garden. The room was great and continental breakfast was sufficient to keep you going until lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff

We were originally booked in to the sister hotel across the road (Lancaster I believe) but they gave us a free upgrade on our booking which meant moving across the road. This was a really nice touch and we appreciated it. The hotel and the room were both spotless and the staff always pleasant, courteous, polite and helpful. The only... More

Fantastic situation, spotlessly clean, adequate breakfast. Room large with fridge and microwave. But sofabed worn and uncomfortable, with prominent springs, plus a series of more minor glitches with the room...could be sorted with more attention to detail...and a new sofabed

The hotel is in a convenient location. I was given a large room in the basement which was not very comfortable. The room was clean but the decor was outdated. The recently redecorated bathroom had a nice bathtub and a shower though. The internet in my room was not very good, too slow, not even good enough for Skype. If you... More

We spent 8 nights here and were very pleased. We were upgraded when we checked in to a very large room with a king size bed, desk and kitchenette. Staff was very friendly and attentive to any questions and requests. The hotel is conveniently located between two tube stations so transportation was easy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with... More

Fab location, easy walk to Holborn tube. Super-big room, with high ceiling and tall windows. Kitchenette (microwave, sink, fridge, kettle, no hob). Some traffic noise at the front at peak times, but easily tolerated. No corridor noise or creakings from other rooms which is unusual in a townhouse hotel. Pleasant and efficient staff. Plenty of shelf space for your kit... More

Booked here for 3 nights. Room 303. Really good location. Good for West End, Theatres, Piccadilly tube line and of course Bloomsbury itself. Its a converted Georgian building so you expect some quirkiness. But as 4 star hotel you expect not just the amenities but also a standard of cleanliness and decor that was missing. With no aircon you need... More

Couldn't be happier! I had originally booked into Grange Lancaster but after a little hiccup we were moved to the sister hotel over the road! The staff were very accommodating and went out of there way to help us! Andrada in the breakfast room was very efficient! Location of this hotel is spot on! Basically behind the museum' Right in... Just had a one night stay saw as running in London on the Sunday and we booked the theatre for Saturday night. Therefore, we went for location as needed to be close to theatre which also was not too far from the race start. Have stayed at other other hotels in this street before for same reason. Staff were friendly,... More

Luxury is not the furniture or paintings on the walls. The real luxury is space and silence. The hotel is well located and is surrounded by green squares and gardens. Rooms are of the normal size which is perceived as a very large in London. We lived on the top floor and the room was a very comfortable and quiet... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
