Price and location = great. HOWEVER, in order to pay I had to speak to a gentleman on the phone on arrival and read ALL my account details over the phone to him. I expressed my unhappiness but was not comforted. This resulted in me cancelling my card that night and not having my bank card for my stay because... More

The rooms are a bit old but they are clean and provided with clean towels, linens and a small sink. The shared bathroom and toilette were always free since they are shared by 4 different rooms. The kitchen is very convenient, it is fully equipped for anything you might like to cook or store in the fridge. The location was great,... More

This accommodation is student halls and some rooms are hired out for the summer when there aren't students requiring the rooms. A very comfortable room - small, basic, but all I needed for 2 nights, while studying for an exam. There was a well equipped kitchen, which was handy for cooking basic breakfast and ready meals in microwave. Very handy... More

I stayed here for a week and although the accommodation is basic it has everything you need and has a wonderful location. Staying in London seemed impossibly expensive but I managed to stay seven nights here for 249 pounds which was roughly the price of two nights in a hotel. A private room in a hostel would be more expensive... More

I went to London for 3 days in June on business for the first time. As I was paying my way I wanted to rather use my money to see the city rather than spend on expensive accommodation. Excellent value for money at the International House. Had a double room and shared bathroom with 2 other rooms. Rooms very nice... More

We (4 adults in one family) stayed in August, 2013. Convenient location, a 5 minute walk from Lambeth North tube station, and a 15 minute walk to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, and Parliament. 2 twin beds in each basic dorm (with a sink), shared bathroom and shared kitchen. Odd odors, stained carpets,Floor seemed dirty, so i was not... More

Only stayed here for one night, thankfully - the room seemed clean enough, but was very threadbare and in need of maintenance (peeling paint, stains, sagging mattress, torn carpet, etc). The bathrooms were pretty awful, and in desperate need of a good clean. The lift made very worrying noises, and the hallways were quite grotty. It was all a bit... More

I would not recommend staying here. In addition to being poorly run by incompetent staff who can barely speak English, it is filthy and falling apart with a design in need of desperate reform, although this is perhaps less urgent than the requirement for compliance with basic levels of safety standards; hazards and rudimentary dangers require constant circumspection to be... I had a seven day stay, during the Olympics. The price was very reasonable, the accommodation was more than adequate for a single , middle-aged, "Yank" who generally travels rough , location was perfect (my longest trip to a venue from there was about forty minutes), staff were generally kind and helpful. Since these are university rooms, my expectations were... More

My niece and I stayed here for seven nights in July/August 2012. It was a very good experience. The people at the reception desk went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. They allowed us to store our bags in a locked room until check-in time. We loved the location and felt we were part of... More
