The main reason I stayed here was because of it's close location to my conference location and King's Cross, and thus easily accessible by tube; and also because it was cheap! The price for 2 nights was cheaper that the price of one night in an average hotel. The room was tiny but comfy with a tv and sink, and... More

I have stayed in Belgrove quite a few times. Once I stayed there on a solo visit to London. So yes it is safe. Just literally outside the entrance / exit of the side of Kings X station. No frills and all. But I don't mind as long as the towels are changed daily, which they do. Breakfast is good... More

Cheap and cheerful basic accommodation. Staff are friendly, breakfast was good, room was clean, beds were comfortable and the shower worked. Room was small but adequate as a base for the weekend. I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but it was great. Really, really close to Kings Cross and after checking-out on the last day... More

After reading some of the reviews here I was a little apprehensive about the hotel. First, let us remind ourselves what I paid for a single room. There were none cheaper. I was greeted by a very friendly and smiling receptionist who conducted the check-in quickly and efficiently. The single room was on the third floor and there was no... More

Simple really, its clean, safe, basic and good value. Don't expect frills, you don't pay for them. I've used this place twice in recent months for a stop over before an early train North out of Kings Cross and its been perfect. Helpful staff, reliable booking service, good value for money and safe.

You get what you pay for. The Belgrove hotel is a low budget hotel, as one reviewer said ,if you are looking for the Ritz sorry this is not it. The rooms are very basic. The best thing about this hotel is the location.

Great location, there is a tube station literally 10 second walk away so very accessible to all of London. The room was clean ish, was acceptable for a one night stay. The bed in the room was quite comfy. In all honesty its not the best place I've stayed but if you're looking for a budget hotel for 1 or... More

We booked this hotel on line and it is certainly not as it appears on the internet. The room was small shabby and dirty. We made the mistake of paying before we looked at the room, big mistake! The room was small shabby and dirty. We immediately left and checked into another nearby hotel. When we asked for our money... More

Having stopped in various hotels around London I can confirm that there are better hotels out there. I was going to book in at the Travelodge at Euston but baulked at paying £140 for one night. The Premiere Inn on Euston Rd was £180. So if the quality of the hotel room is a big thing for you, and you... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
