First of all; I am so so tempted to write an unapologetic review for this hotel but decided to rate it honestly based on my stay there. I had booked the hotel for my 3 friends coming to stay in London for a night, but the receptionist INSTANTLY pulled a face when he saw me come in in a group... More

Yes, I know London is not cheap but any price advantage the Troy Hotel offers is negated by how bad it is. Here's a list. It is unbearably hot inside, even with the heater switched off. I stayed in early March, ie it was very cold outside, but I had to have the window open to cool the room down... More

I stayed in room 504 which is a deluxe single room. The room was really nice, looked recently renovated, with simple decoration and enough space for one person and his staff. The bathroom was nice, only the shower space was little small. It was ok for me ,but maybe for a man it would be very small. The WiFi worked very well and the... More

We arrived in London in the middle of a 48 hr Tube Strike and was grateful for the easy location to Marble Arch and a 20 minute or so walk found ourselves at the hotel, Not overly happy with the disinterested guy on reception who was not able to give us any directions or ideas how to get about in... After a long train journey and all the walking, the uncomfortable bed was the first major letdown! The room was small, but what does one expect of London. The toilet was small as expected, but the hot water was unpredictable, suddenly going cold in the midst of a shower! Went down to check out breakfast the next day, but there... More

After previous experience of tiny London quadruple rooms, we booked a twin and double. Both rooms were good sizes and clean. Beds ok, showers not huge but decent water pressure, service from hotel staff was excellent. Location is good. Overall no problems and would go again.

Location was pretty good because of the lovely parks right next to it and the close tube station but not great. The hotel was outdated, we could not control the temperature in the room and it was very hot a lot of the time, and the wifi did not work in the room for the first half of our stay... More

Stayed for three nights but after two nights with little sleep we asked to be moved. The first room smelled of smoke and there were a lot of cigarette ends in the gutter outside the window. Nets, carpet and lampshade were grubby, though bedding and bathroom were clean. However the bed was uncomfortable and very creaky and the bath lacked... More

Hotel room was quiet as the hotel is in a side street just off Bayswater Road. Close to tube station Queensway where you will find many restaurants offering food from around the world. Hotel was excellent value for London. Room was small as a single but clean and had fridge, TV, kettle, digital safe and shower in bathroom. I would... More
