in a quiet area just 3 streets from tube across main road from kensington gardens, clean and continental breakfast was adequate to start the day, the staff were foreign and they spoke good english and were very polite and efficient. rooms small but adequate as we only stayed 2 nights. bed mattress was extremely hard and bathroom small. hairdryer provided.

We stayed here one night to attend an event in Hyde Park. On arrival the receptionist was quite brusque and there weren't the usual pleasantries you expect on arrival - which did make us feel a little unwelcome. However, the room itself was very clean and had all that we needed for one night. The location was excellent for Hyde... More

We stayed in Troy Hotel for just over a week, on the recommendation of family who have stayed there before. We absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, light and very comfortable, and excellent for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were a close walk to two tube stations (district, circle and central lines), and very... More

This hotel was much better than I'd expected, given what I'd paid. My room was a good size, as was the ensuite. The wifi was reliable. Staff were friendly, the place was clean and there was a decent continental breakfast on offer. Great value, given its very central location and would stay again without hesitation.

The hotel is right opposite Hyde Park which is great. On arrival the receptionist asked for ID such as a passport or driving licence. I didn't have either and was a bit surprised as I had only travelled from Wiltshire where I live. She was happy in the end though without any ID. The room was nice, clean and had... More

The search for this hotel was based on value, the cheapest but most reasonable hotel with good access to the Tube. We have stayed in and around Bayswater a number of times and whatever time of the day the main street is buzzing so the Troy came up number one for the month of July. The website is professional and... More

Nice location. Handy for the West End, Hyde Park and a short walk to Notting Hill Hotel clean and well decorated. Food above average, but then you're not paying top dollar, so you'll not get anything out of this world. Just honest food. (Served hot too, which can make a change). Staff polite, understanding and helpful. Recommended as a base... More

A 2 night stay on business. Location wise you can't fault the Troy. Five minutes to Queensway and another 5 to Bayswater giving access to Central, District and Circle lines. For walkers / joggers amongst you it's over the road from Hyde Pk. The room I stayed in (204) was ok. Mattress was a little thin and the shower cubicle... More

The hotel is very good located, a few meters from the Queensway tube station or bus stop : this is the only positive point of this place. Rooms are very small and a century old : there is no AC (good luck in summer) and we had to sleep every night with the small window open (I let you imagine... More
