Location and price of this hostel are great. I paid ca. 15€ per night (maxed dorm for 20 people) which is more than acceptable price in London. The hostel is located two minutes from tube station Queensway from which one can reach any part of the town very quickly. Also, Hyde park is just across the street. The price includes... More

Good points: It's in a good location and it's cheap. There are loads of shops near by, it's central. The staff still gave us our deposit back even though we were 40 minutes late checking out. 20% off at the café next door. Bad points: No free wi-fi. The 16 bed was dreadful; people were noisy and its price attracted... More

I had the misfortune to stop here the other night. Never again there was blood on the pillows I itched all night and they ripped me off with the cost by overcharging my credit card and refused to refund

Excellent location, but like with all London houses it has a road adjacent, which unfortunately seemed like the home straight on a multiplayer Need for Speed race. London is as London does! The dorm was typical of an international hostel and for one night it was the best option. Even though the room was full of sleeping people it wasn't... More

The best thing of this hostel is location, Near Hyde Park and QueensGate tube station, restaurants, pubs and shops are near by too. Stayed in 4 bed dorm, average experience, clean enough, toilet and shower in the room, wifi available £1/h is not a great deal... Nice and helpful staff, breakfast very poor but if you remember the price you... More

Price is reasonable. Very close to sites and opposite hide park, plenty of Asian super markets and money exchange one street away. Bunk beds are very old. Wi if Internet is extremely pricey, breakfast is free and unlimited although just cereal and beard. No lockers and rooms way too small for six people. Bathroom per dorm is good.

The location is awesome, near to two metro station, bus stop, and in a region full of places to change money, restaurants and souvenir shops. The hostel was ok, but the room for 8 people was really small. the staff wasn't so receptive and the INTERNET IS NOT FREE, it was expensive, 1 pound to get wifi for 1 hour.... More

Ok I must say I booked this place before reading any of the reviews, so I was a little on edge before booking in. However upon reflection it really is what you pay for. I stayed in a double room with a private en suite with my girlfriend and we were there for two nights which in total came to... More

Rooms were extremely small and beds were not in a good condition. Clean sheets but not so sure about the duvet that was already on the bed and left when someone vacated the room and was not cleaned in between. Bathroom was also dirty and shower did not work well at all- more water sprayed out than came out of... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
