I had booked a lunch for my wife's birthday last year at The Wellesley and was so impressed with the superb food, delightful decor and the most excellent staff that I have ever encountered at this amazing 5* boutique hotel that I decided to surprise my wifey with a 2 night stay for our 10th wedding anniversary in January 2015.... This is a beautiful unique boutique establishment in the knitsbridge. The service was faultless, the staff went out of their way to look after you. The room was beautiful, bed and bathroom were amazing .Location is ideal, close to shopping centers, restaurants and Hyde park as well . The open air restaurant and cigar lounge had views of Hyde park.... More

As is the mantra for foodboyz.com, supporting the local businesses is the true sustainability for any city or town regardless of its size. Hence, upon booking with The Wellesley, site unseen, our goal was to find a nice, comfortable hotel in central London. Our stay consisted of six nights and from the time of booking until our departure, we were... More

I stayed at The Wellesley for one night mid week and booked a junior suite. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and had a quick bite to eat at the bar before going up to our room. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help with anything you need. The food at the... More

I stayed at The Wellesley on 17/1/2015 and my stay was fantastic! On arrival whilst the butler unpacked my bags from the car, I checked in. This only took a couple of minutes. Every staff member I came in contact with upon arrival couldn't do enough for me and I felt welcomed. I was shown to my king sized room... More

I recently sat on the cigar bar with some friends and even though it was freezing outside it was warm and cosy and we had great service . I will definately return and try out the Jazz evenings and grab a bite to eat.

This is without question a well presented, in its chosen style, luxurious 5+ star hotel. It is clearly aimed at a very specific type of guest and that type of guest will love it. For me it's too over-the-top in a lot of respects. It's glitzie in an art deco / jazz age style but has no class. Everything feels... More

Very nice stay for the second time at the Wellesley. Very well located in the centre of London next to Harrods, the tube and mayfair. Rooms are lovely decorated in a "art deco" style . Staff is very nice and make a lot of attentions for the guests. I advise this hotel without hesitation. I'm very impatient to go back.

Photos online are lovely and show a well appointed room with a view. What I don't understand is why my room was wheelchair accessible with a tiny sink, no real vanity area for my wife and a view so bad the hotel frosted the window glass to prevent us from looking out. I spoke to the receptionist who reminded me... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
