We were able to check in online beforehand, but had a slight problem with the machine for getting the keycards for both our rooms. This was easily sorted out by the receptionist. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I stayed with three friends in two rooms and both rooms had a double bed and a smaller single bed. We all... More

I have been 3 times to London, but admit that this is my first stay at a Premier Inn Hotel. It is a very good hotel, clean, excellent choice of breakfast and its location is quite central but at the same time in a quite area of London. I will certainly stay again next time I return to London.

Stayed here for work for 1 night. Asked for a quiet room and was given one on the 3rd floor. Nice size room, good bathroom but most of all had a great nights sleep! Very quiet hotel not off a busy road. Would definitely stay there again. Easy to check in and out and staff were very helpful.

Stayed here several times before but not for a while - yet again an excellent experience. Check in was simple , room was clean and had all that you need for a short stay. Breakfast buffet is as good as big hotels. All the staff were friendly. The best thing about this hotel is the location - Blackfriars is a... More

Stayed evening of 22nd of May prior to visiting the Chelsea Flower Show the following day. Conveniently located just two minutes walk from Blackfriars and circa 3 minutes to the Thames Embankment. Friendliness and efficiency of check in could shame some 5 star establishments and room was modern, clean and quiet. Reception staff looked after our suitcase the following day... More

A well situated hotel close to Blackfriars. Tucked away in a side street and slightly difficult to find, this is a quiet hotel in a busy part of London. The building is relatively new and the rooms well apportioned. It's a useful and functional hotel for a night or two. I don't think I'd come for a week!

I was on business for three days at meetings around fleet street area. Several colleagues from around the world were also attending. I think I was the only one at the Premier Inn, and I think I probably did best. Other local hotels are very expensive and, especially when on business, offered nothing for the extra cost. The Premier Inn... More

We booked a family room for two adults and two kids. Like allways very clean and quiet rooms. The beds for the adults were very comfy. Perfectly location and great breakfast. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Next trip to England we will stay in a Premier Inn again for sure.

This hotel had a great central location! You don't have to walk far to find bus tours or the subway. Also, food and great sights nearby too. We would definitely stay here again! Also, our room was very comfortable and clean. The only concern might be if you had a car to park there. We took a taxi to the... More

Title says it all; clean and comfortable. A very functional hotel. Bit pricey for the weekend we happened to be staying but that's London for you! Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice and seemed pretty fresh, wait staff helpful

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
