Camera doppia anche se da solo, molto confortevole (la 203) ben isonorizzata. Bagno in comune ma sempre pulitissimo. Personale premuroso. Lenzuola e asciugamani nuovi ogni giorno. Centralissimo ed abbordabile. Caffè e tè in camera. Tv e internet gratis. Eccellente! Double room even if alone, very comfortable (the 203) well soundproofed. Shared bathroom but always spotlessly clean. Considerate staff. New sheets... More

My husband and I stayed at The Lancaster for two nights in August whilst attending a friends wedding. After reading the other reviews I was a bit sceptical, however I need not have been. We had room 306 on the top floor which had a gorgeous view. The room was clean and tidy and although not fashionably decorated it wasn't... More

I came here for a private birthday party. the room was decorated beautifully and the entire building is quite pleasant inside and the place is huge. i found the staff very friendly and polite particularly on dealing with an extremely demanding host. i would come back here for another party but i dont think it would be my first choice... I was apprehensive with my booking as the website said shared bathroom. However I was pleasantly surprise as the room had its own wash basin and shower and the toilet was literally next door and impeccably clean and well presented. The room was spacious by London standards, well appointed and comfortable. It is on a quiet street. The staff were... More

What a charming little hotel. I spent two nights in an on-suite bedroom. The room is big enough to comfortably accommodate a full size double bed, settee, two easy chairs, desk and a small table, with tons of space to spare. A huge window overlooks a secluded private garden. The bathroom is superb and newly fitted out. Everything works as... More

Having to come to the area of Bloomsbury on a regular basis, I suppose we have meanwhile stayed in more or less all of the Hotels there. We felt a bit ambivalent towards this Hotel. Although the room was nice, spacy and quiet, it was in the basement and with the steep flight of stairs going down and the fire... More

Expensive but presumably typical of London. No en-suite toilet, shower was poor, paint peeling, tv right next to sink and dodgy remote control for the tv! Student accommodation! Bed was comfy so not all bad, but price did not include breakfast, which is ridiculous. Avoid.

We stayed here for most of our trip to England. The rooms were clean and safe. The toilet was down the hall and was very clean and nice. The showers are in the room and ours was exposed to the room (not in a private room). I like the tea cubby and having a nice sink available in our space.... More

Stayed for three nights for a course, staff were helpful enough but the hotel itself is dated and in need of a refurb. They have communal toilets which I didn't expect in a hotel these days. The rooms were also incredibly hot, unbearably hot. I would not stay here again

Sorry your expectations were not fully satisfied. This is a listed building with certain building constraints, this is reflected in the room tariff. We do have very similar hotels in the same road with all rooms fully ensuite. More
