I would like to start off by saying that my stay in London was still wonderful, but looking back I would have spent a little extra for a nicer place. pros: -Close to the tube station. -Very walkable to cafe's, and the market. -Denise's French restaurant is right by it and it's wonderful and open until 2am which is very... We just came back from our 3 day trip to London and stayed in this hotel. The hotel's nearest subway station is Oxford Circus, 10 min walk. We didn't pay for the breakfast because we thought that 20pounds per person was excesively expensive. Advantages: there are restaurants everywhere in the perpendicular streets. It is located in the zone one, it... More

My fiance and I stayed for 7 nights and had an amazing time. We requested a city view and could see the sunset from our room. Even though there are no elevators, it's only a 3 story buildin, so the walk up isn't bad. Free paper every morning and free WiFi in the room and hotel. Staff are friendly and... More

For a self funded business trip I took a rather cheap hotel at a center location and thus landed with this one. Myself being used to modern and full service hotels I was skeptical and in fact not amused by the antiquarian appearance, the lack of an elavator, minibar or even house bar and the shared toilet in the gang... Nothing to get excited about but it's a clean place with decent rooms. Some looming a bit tired and the breakfast is nothing to write home about - you have to generally pay extra if you want a cooked breakfast. Ok for work, not for a treat. Staff ok.

A highly recommended place to stay close to central London and its amenities. 5 mins walk from British Museum. It doesn't really matter that it was a shared bathroom. Bedroom was large and clean, with comfortable bed, shower, sink, kettle with t-bags, coffee and milk. Very large male and female toilets were directly opposite on landing shared with 2 other... I was booked in on a business trip and shared facilities were an issue but I found that I had been upgraded to the Clarendon over the road. This has happened to others and I must say I was impressed. If you book the Clarendon you will have a good room and the breakfast is also good. I am able... More

We had 2 rooms which were adjacent for ourselves and the three children. Both spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds with plenty of space, a sofa, free wi-fi , and a small kitchenette. great value for money and right next to the british museum, 5-10 min walk from tottenham court road end of oxford street, 10minute lovely walk to Euston, The... Overall appearance of this hotel seems acceptable and the prices are reasonable for London however the room we had was cold and there was no thermostat on the wall (as you'd expect in a £19 Travelodge!). London traffic is clearly heard from early hours in the morning through the single glazed windows. We were staying on business and we found... More

This is a review of the non-ensuite rooms at the Grange Lancaster. Stayed for four days at the Grange Lancaster. I chose this hotel as it was the most affordable option in central London, available at about £50 a night. The catch? The room was not a true ensuite, it had its own shower but has shared toilet facilities. Well... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
