I would love to leave a nice review for this place because the people were so nice, but I can't. My friends and I stayed here about 3 weeks ago, and it wasn't so bad. The toilets were downstairs from our room, the sleeping areas were hot as balls and we didn't know a warm shower the whole time we... More

The hostel just have a fridge and microwaves but no real kitchen ( and REALLY small). It is a pitty because the staff is really nice and it is a cosy and lovely place. They need to build up a real kitchen and improve their wifi. You has to connect to internet again every 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. It could be cheaper... More

I'm covered in itching bed bug bites since having moved into this hostel. I paid for a week but only stayed 4 nights. I'm allergic to bed bugs, and they can also be disease carriers. There are so many you can see them crawling up and down the beds. Everything else is bad too, but that's already covered in the... More

Atlhough the pub downstairs is very nice, the rooms are ugly and dirty! But the worst thing about this hostel are toilets - it was simply disgusting. The location is quite good but all in all I don't recommend this place!

Worst hostel we've stayed in around Europe! Location was much further away from the tube station then we were advised. Although they allowed us to leave our bags while we waited until check-in, the 'secure room' was actually just space under the stairs where any guest could easily steal the bags. Our dorm was terrible - very very small for... More

I stayed here 3 days after moving to London and only needed a cheap place while I found a permanent place to live so this hostel wasn't too bad considering all I needed was a cheap bed. Not sure I would recommend this place to anyone travelling from overseas and looking for a place to stay while exploring London mainly... More

Well what can I say, I'm only two days in to my stay at monkey in the tress and I'm so impressed with the staff and hostel I just had to write a review! On first arrival I was greeted by a very friendly man at the reflection/ pub called Peter, he was very helpful and informative of the local... More

I have tried quite a lot of hostels in London already, and this is definitely the best one I have found until now. The location is a bit out of the way from the centre, but value for money is excellent, at least if you compare it to other London hostels. It is quiet, clean, there are lockers and space... More

Completely forgot to write this but recently stayed in a fantastic hostel with safestay and it reminded me of how horrific my experience here was and how writing a review was still on my to do list. So I was meant to be here for four nights. I left after two. It was the tiniest rooms I have ever seen,... More

I stayed there for couple of nights. I didn't liked the theme though. Very congested beds . NO toilets on top floor. Kitchen was awful and stinking. But staff was really supercool and helping, specially that guy called BADR. It's bit isolated . Good for those people who just need bed to sleep in night. Bar as good, oldish.
