Okay so this is twice as expensive as a standard Premier Inn- but we are in London. It still works out cheaper than the other branded hotels, very few of which can match the location and ambiance. I have been staying here and recommending it for over 10 years and it still works. Much of its charm is being located... More

Room, facilities, breakfasts, friendliness and helpfulness of staff were excellent. We didn't travel by car so are unsure of the hotel parking arrangements. The location was OK if you don't mind a 20 minute walk to theatreland or a pleasant walk along the Embankment to Westminster.

Stayed here again on visit and overall the quality and value for money is good, the staff are always friendly and helpful-- but! The breakfasts are great and good value but we had poor experience with evening meal- two meals were very poor that leads us to next time we are staying there to have evening meal somewhere else. The curry... More

This is a great hotel, ideally placed for all the major tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially making a fuss of the youngsters in our party! Breakfast is very good value, espacially as the kids eat free! The rooms were clean and comfortable with the only downside being the noise from the road outside. I will... More

Having gone up to London for an evening corporate event I wanted a hotel within easy walking distance of both Waterloo and The Globe Theatre. This was perfect and unexpectedly quiet. Nice room, good standard of cleanliness, helpful staff.

Great location, near the South bank and a couple of Tube stations. Rooms as quiet and as comfortable as the average Premier Inn, which is consistently high standard for a budget chain; the staff bent over backwards to help whenever required. The only downside of the room was having a fixed shower head in the bathroom only - not ideal... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, not too far from city center and not to close to be too busy. It's located in a nice area close to restaurants, convenient store next door and underground a couple of minutes away. The staff is exceptionally friendly and will keep you happy and welcome during your full stay

iI had never stayed in a Premier Inn before but had stayed in other chains. This is the best budget hotel I have stayed in, from the security of the hotel to cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and beds I was very happy. Will definitely Sta at one of these hotels again.

I am extremely disappointed in this hotel. The staff is helpful, but they don't do wake up calls and there is no alarm clock in the room. They have a restaurant, that is mediocre at best, but no room service. There is no pad to write notes about what I want to visit or do. I booked a double, but... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
