Great hotel, very friendly staff in check in and restaurant. 5 min walk from Southwark tube which had links to centre of London. Close to London Bridge. Tesco and sainsburys also outside. Great hotel.

Nothing fancy, remember its a budget hotel but the location is excellent. Close to good sights, quick walk to underground, bus stations and with 2 small grocery shops just outside the doors. Rooms are bare and simple but fine for a short stay. Service was fine, the wifi is free but slow. Full details of our stay in london on... More

Good clean rooms with excellent air conditioning. Beds are comfortable and hotel is very quiet. The breakfasts were adequate but nothing special. The wifi worked well albeit a little slow if you don't pay for the upgrade which is essential if you want to stream video etc. However, it was a good place to sleep for a couple of days... More

Great place to stay within walking distance of many attractions on the River Thames. Clean hotel, lovely breakfast and evening meal and very friendly staff. Would stay here again. We had a room at the back of the hotel and this was very quiet. We pre booked the breakfast, but added the evening meal deal when we got there. Good... More

We had two rooms on the top floor(8) which were hot but very comfy esp the bed. Our room had a glimpse of the shard and easy walk to tate past a nice deli-cafe where we had breakfast. Quite noisy plant room next to our room but good value for central london

Great staff . Very helpful with procuring transportation. Had 3 rooms reserved. Our 2 reserved wheel chair accessible rooms were not available when we arrived. Had to change one room the next day. So as to have one room in which to shower the two electric wheelchair bound family members.

We had a perfect stay here for our London trip. Friendly, clean and convenient hotel in perfect location. Good value for money with efficient check in options to make our visit hassle free. Family room was I deal for our family with small kids. And such friendly staff!

Room spacious and clean. Staff very pleasant. Had an ongoing issue with housekeeping only leaving One towel between us. Resolved by reception but happened 2 days running. Didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast in the hotel preferring to go out. Great location.

Fantastic hotel. Standard premier Inn room. Always fantastic, clean, spacious enough, good facilities. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant with some other incredibly awkward customers. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed in this hotel for a 3 day visit to London. We had an excellent time here. We checked in using the check-inn machine and quickly received our room keys. The room was very large (especially in comparison with previous London hotels). It was really quiet inside and that is very welcome in such a busy city. We had... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
