Reception was basic with a background smell of food. Our room was a 3 storey climb with no lift or offers of assistance from staff. Clearly the public areas were in need of recarpeting and decoration. Very disappointing so we decided to forfeit our deposit and leave.

This hotel was booked for a one night stay in London for myself and my friend. I had read mixed reviews so didn't really know what to expect. It was a good location in London We found the hotel without any problems and went to check in, the guy who checked us in was lovely, friendly and very helpful. We... More

Was worried about all negative comments but lovely hotel, we had a room on 2nd floor, although it was warm we had air con and a fan. Had a safe in room. Stayed for 4 nights, towels changed everyday and tea/coffee/toiletries replenished. Hotel was full and had to wait about 10 mins to be seated (not a problem). I will... More

Arrived for an overnight stay - check in good and swift. Room allocated on 3rd floor so a bit of a climb! Nice room, very comfy bed and excellent bathroom with a lovely shower. Quite hot but we had a fan and left the window open. Very central location - we always stay in this area as it is so... More

I recently travelled to London for a few days to meet a friend and stayed in this hotel for two nights.Although I do have to agree with one or two of the negative comments being made,as in the single room being unbelievably small, the fact I couldn't lock my door from the inside and the lack of air con in the... Do not stay there! We booked this hotel in May to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and stayed there from 11th to 12th August. What a disappointment. We had the smallest , hottest room on earth! The air conditioning unit was very noisy and needed the window open to work . We were in the basement , the outlook was... More

Tiny room but clean and had everything necessary for a one night stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms could do with better ventilation on a summers night. Overall this is average for the cost, the area is full of similar hotels and this is one of the better ones in this price bracket.

I stayed there for two nights for a conference despite the bad reviews thinking hmmm how bad can it be. I was wrong very very wrong. This place is really aweful to the point i can't even start. Just a few highlights. The rooms don't have aircondition but what is more the windows don't work properly. So you essentially need... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
