Perfect location for a visit to London. Neighborhood Pub with rooms to rent above. Room was clean and updated. Beautiful view out the window into a courtyard. Great shower pressure in the tidy bathroom. Fun that neighbors and families hung out after school and work. Very good location for getting on the "Tube" to zip around the city and the... More

Surprised by how bad the roast was, I hope it's just this meal they can't do well, as people seem to like this place, so maybe I'll try another option on menu if I choose to try it again next time.,,,But it was such a mediocre, roast, compared to other pubs in the area, it had an ok feel in... It's a shame that we can't please everyone. I dealt with this couple personally having sold 50 roasts last Sunday without a hitch! They were convinced our meat was frozen which isn't possible and complained about the meal having cleaned their plates! I'm always very happy to do what ever if someone isn't happy but if you eat almost everything... More

We ate on a Friday night, having come down on the train that evening. My friend had booked. Very welcoming owner and friendly staff. Stowed our bags in the back room for us. Had the house wine, which was lovely and reasonably priced. The food was great, good sized portions. Nothing to complain about. As I say the owner could... More

Very pleasant stay we were made very welcome. Room was a little on the small side but shower room was quite large. Good standard of decor and very clean which is all we expected at the price. The "gastro" pup serves very good food at a reasonable price. The situation is very pleasant in the back streets of St Johns... More

So it doesn't get much simpler than this: one cheeseburger please and one plain grilled sea -bass with new potatoes ( at the exorbitant price of £25.95 for the sea bass alone). The "plain" grilled small fillet of sea bass came smothered in soy sauce making it far too salty and thereby inedible. The new potatoes had been sauteed for... More

As always you can't please everybody. This gentleman was no gentleman and even embarrassed his sweet female lunch guest who walked out in the end in disgust! We always make an extra special effort with anyone having a bad day but in this case it didn't work and he even found time to slate us on tripadvisor... What a shame!... More

My husband and I decided to stay here after seeing Nick Tyrie on 'Four In A Bed' and it was a lovely experience altogether! We were made to feel very welcome by Nick Tyrie and his staff. The food is great. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. And on Sunday we had an amazing Sunday Roast with very good... More

Fabulous hotel. Atmosphere is brilliant, rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable beds. And the all the staff made you feel very welcome. Not for those of you who want to sleep early as above the brilliant gastro pub so music on beneath. Highly recommended

This is the second time that we have stayed at The New Inn, and we enjoyed it even more than the first. Stayed this time for three nights. Breakfast choice and flexibility is superb. If you are looking for a place of style, with great standards in food, drink, and extremely good service, then this is all it promises. It's... More

We stayed for six nights in early March 2014 in one of the Sky Suites. The room was ideal for such a long stay having the separate lounge room, it was an ideal place to relax after adventuring out into the cold NY weather. Breakfast service was relaxed and enjoyable. In room dining was good, but the selection was a... More

If you want to sleep don't stay here. Although this is above a pub the room shook until 12 15 am and screaming and shouting was evident from the staff clearing up until 1 15am on complaining the following day the proprietress commentd that 1.15am was not late, he was extremely rude and impolite do not stay here I had... It is always horrible when somebody doesn't enjoy their stay with us but it is never possible to please everybody. This lady came with a baby and stayed above a pub and was informed of our monthly Saturday night live music event upon check in. Staying above a pub is vibrant and not for everybody. I am never rude any... More
