As a family of four, with 2 teenage daughters, we required a bed for the night, close enough to attend my goddaughter's 18th birthday party. We got so much more than we bargained for ... in a good way! Upon arrival, after a 4 hour journey from the West Country, we were warmly welcomed by Sue, Tim and members of... More

I'm a 21 year old Swedish student and I stayed at Fox Hill B&B during a month for work experience in London. It was lovely staying with Sue and Tim and their wonderful dogs and cats, which all are very friendly and always happy to see you. Tim makes the best breakfast and bacon and eggs I've ever eaten. Sue... More

Stayed at Fox Hill for the second time 7 years after our first visit. This time there were four of us instead of two, but nothing else had changed. A superb warm welcome, comfortable rooms, a beautiful house and possibly the best breakfast south of the river. Lots of animals to entertain the kids (dogs, cats and fish), and don't... More

Last went there 2 years ago: warm welcome, bouncy dogs, bouncy couple in charge (Sue and Tim, the excellent breakfast cook!) Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, loads of hot water and the whole house delightfully warm on a cold weekend. A smart area from which to explore London or the locality, and good value.

Working in London has been made a delight by frequent stays at Foxhill. Tim and Sue manage to strike that lovely balance between being friendly without being intrusive. The accommodation is excellent, warm, comfortable, aesthetically a treat. I have stayed in many hotels in London and indeed all over the world, Foxhill remains my absolute favourite. I supposed my overall... More

I honestly can't imagine a better place to stay. My daughter and I shared a beautiful room, in a leafy part of london, and felt at home. Amazingly tasteful textiles and lovely extra touches. Tim and Sue were fascinating and friendly and very accommodating . Highly, highly recommended. Safe parking and excellent restaurants nearby. By the way, may I please... More

Tim and Sue are great hosts and I had a lovely 2 nights at Fox Hill. Staying on my own, I was made to feel really welcome from the moment I arrived. Offers of hot drinks (or wine!) were gratefully received and I was shown to a very cosy room on the second floor. Sue gave me several recommendations for... More

I feel fortunate to have found Fox Hill to stay when visiting family in Crystal Palace. The city can seem a bit daunting when one arrives, but staying at Fox Hill makes me feel safe and comfortable. Sue's embroidery and quilting, Tim's hot breakfasts and offers to taxi to the station, the elegant rooms and the lovely garden all create... More

Shabby Chic, more shabby than chic. Carpets stained and not vacuumed in our room or stairs when we arrived and the same when we left three days later. Same price for our room as other 1st Floor room, except we were told on arrival that "we don't usually let this room, so we've made some space for you in a... More

AnophelesLondon, Owner at Fox Hill Bed & Breakfast, responded to this review

We were startled and rather devastated by this review as these guests (a party of four from Norfolk) were absolutely charming and we had a lot of fun with them. Tim who does the breakfasts was assured that "they had been delicious" at the time, and there was a lot of common ground for discussion. Much of our bed linen... More

My friend and I stayed at Fox Hill in July. What a find, and such a difference from bland chain accommodation. The house itself is beyond charming, and in a leafy quiet part of Crystal Palace, but near to good restaurants, pubs and cafes. Sue and Tim couldn't of been more welcoming, and the breakfast was fab. Great place to... More
