Only stayed one night being in London for an exhibition. Five minutes walk from DLR. Usual spotless room and amenities. Spacious and well laid out. The staff were most attentive and very helpful. Very clean and modern, with friendly staff and easy access from Prince Regent DLR station. My only warning would be that if you want to go into central London, the DLR into London will probably end up costing you more than the difference in price to a central hotel. Read various reviews before booking to stay at the Premier Inn (Docklands Excel) hotel, this one caught my eye with the bigger ratio of positive comments to the average/poor ratings. REALLY glad I spent some time to use TripAdvisor service, since the stay was exceptionally good! The hotel staff was very friendly, even my girlfriend was gob-smacked by the service... more

I was very impressed with the service, value, facilities and especially the staff here. Ideally located for the O2 and Excel close to the DLR; unfortunately we weren't going there and the DLR was closed for engineering works so it was a hike and a taxi to get there - but that's not their fault. This hotel was excellent for the price. The food was great, the rooms were really smart and clean. The staff were also really friendly. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but nice place to stay in t'Capital more

Comfortable rooms as always with this chain. However, having stayed here for the last 6 months, restaurant service has deteriorated rapidly. I have ordered a pizza 2 or 3 times over the last 2 weeks as a quick bite to eat..... my advice is - don't bother!!! You need to take annual leave when you order food either to take... more

The hotel was just a short walk from Prince Regent station, and the kids thought travelling on the DLR was great fun. Just got back after a nights stay at this hotel with my hubby and two children. I've stopped in this area of london before, so knew that it was not in the centre.
