Stayed here a number of times now - if the price is right it's usually our first choice in London. Booked a standard double but got an upgrade to a superior room. Definitely liked the extra space. Staff are always friendly - on this visit Mark on the front desk was particularly helpful (thanks Mark!). No doubt we'll be back... More

I am a Zetter fan - at last a hotel with character and charm and good food! This is a great hotel and I would recommend and Am a frequent visitor Breakfast is great although my beloved creamy wild mushrooms hasn't survived the menu revamp 😂 Room tip - go high and at the back to avoid the road noise... We have been on the hunt for our go to London hotel for a couple of years now and I think we have found it here with The Zetter. Our criteria included close to the tube and a short ride to Paddington, a decent shower, clean, comfy bed, and reasonably priced. The location is great. It is less than 5... More

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend birthday break and found The Zetter to be excellent value for money, ideally located and very welcoming. The room was not too small, bed was comfortable and the coffee machine was great. I also liked the addition of a Bluetooth speaker which was excellent.

My first stay at The Zetter was in 2005. Since then this has been my "home away from home" when in London. I love the area, the atmosphere, the morning coffee, the people. And I love Bistro Bruno Loubet (try the beetroot ravioli). The rooms facing Clerkenwell Road can be a bit noisy, but the rooms facing the square and... More

I liked the retro-modern style and restaurant on the premises was great! Nice touches like spring water from under the hotel in rooms, espresso machine on the floor and terry robes. Very helpful staff too, good wi-fi and desk. My window opened over a restaurant-pub in rear so might want to face front or end if you go to bed... More

The Zetter Hotel is a gem in the City of London. Convenient to everything from Covent Garden to the Old Bailey to the Tower. Hip, well-appointed, and served by a fantastic front-desk staff and the best concierge anywhere. Highly recommended.

The hotel was nice and it was clean! It was a tad strange-- there was an orange long shag carpet and very retro decor. It's fine if that's what they are going for, but it didn't seem to match the rest of the hotel. Either way, it was clean and had a little bar area, and the staff were very... More

We all know that working in London can be a chore with the traffic and the commutes. We were in a trip to London for a brief business meeting and this hotel provided everything we required for a short stay as well as the right sort of space to work and relax. Rooms are a good size and staff are... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
