Used my points to stay here for one night. We parked at the nearby recommended parking at Baynard House, which is about a two minute walk away. The hotel itself is situated in a brilliant location, directly opposite Blackfriars Tube Station, perfect for exploring London. Check in was very efficient, thank you Stefano. We were in room 127 on the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent trip to London. We chose this hotel as it is located behind my husband's office on Fleet Street. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the service was. I was given a very warm welcome as an IHG Gold Card member. Our room was clean, spacious and very... More

This is a good business hotel with a great location if you're doing business in City. Rooms are large, clean and reasonably stylish. The breakfast buffet is not super but completely ok. Reasonable rates (by London standards) and good value for money.

Myself and my partner stayed the night of Sunday 15th March which included breakfast. The breakfast was amazing. The food was fresh, good quality and the service was personal and attentive. There was a wide selection for breakfast from cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, fresh bread, full english and freshly made coffee. We particularly impressed with the level of service from... More

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza recently for one night during a visit to London for my birthday. We were two couples, and we're looking for a nice, Central hotel for a good price. The hotel itself is ideally situated right next to the river at Blackfriars bridge, and right opposite the tube station. We had a quick check in at... More

Very slow checkin, which was very frustrating as we only had one hour to get ready and go to a ball, so spending 20 minutes in a checkin queue was a bad start. Had half used toiletries in the room, which were not replaced the next day, despite leaving a note. Very odd, and I would expect better. However... Room... More

Stayed 3 nights with family in March 2015. Very comfortable room. Room in back of hotel on third floor was very quiet. Breakfast was good and the lobby bar is a pleasant place for a drink. Staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. Location is very good -- especially for Tate Modern, Globe Theatre, South Bank and St.... More

I've now stayed at this hotel a few times its a great location being 30 seconds away from Blackfriars station and at a reasonable price. Polite and friendly staff on the front desk, even upgraded my room without asking. Clean and fair sized room. Tesco express is literally on the corner and a 5 minute walk across the bridge takes... Great hotel, good breakfast, great location and they even allowed me to stay till 3 o'clock. So overall I would stay here again.... The only thing to watch out for is the cost of snacks in the room.... And I wouldn't order room service... Expensive and quality is not justified by the cost.

Stayed over in London after a sporting event , nice room spacious and good facilities, very clean and tidy , only a taxi cab ride from all the hustle and bustle of the city . Nice and relaxing bar area but shut early and only the noisy bar open late with DJ , which was empty .

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
