Located right across Blackfriars tube station. Walking distance from Tate Modern Museum, Millennium bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. Hotel is nicely decorated, very comfortable bed and very nice modern bathroom. Fitness facility has all the equipment necessary for a good workout. There aren't that many choices to eat late at night, but there is convenience store on the opposite corner... More

Went for å weekend with my teenage dauther. We had a great stay, clean rooms, good size room and friendly staff. A perfect location in the City, but be aware that the area is deserted in a sunday. Every thing seemed closed and we had ti walk quit a bit to find some place open.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for three nights and have yet to find anything that made us unhappy. From friendly, welcoming staff, great service, fantastic location and well equipped rooms the hotel delivers in every respect. The location, opposite Blackfriars tube station, and right on the Thames is ideal whether you want to explore London by foot... More

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with excellent service then this is the place! We only stayed for a night but the staff made us feel very welcome, and their service is quick and efficient. Special shout out to Bianca and Simone at the front desk. Loved the surprise and the overall treatment from you and the team.... More

I picked this hotel because of its location in central London and handy for East London where I needed to be. It was my first time there. It's directly opposite a busy rail and tube station (Blackfriars) so connecting with public transport is dead easy. There's a Tesco metro, Costa and Starbucks adjacent or opposite. The building is a solid... More

Well located, literally across the road from Blackfriars Station and also on several bus routes. I was upgraded to a Club Room which was spacious and comfortable, and came with complimentary breakfast in the Club Lounge which was welcome. Friendly staff. Italian restaurant was closed as I stayed on the Sunday, although I could have eaten Chinese. Would certainly consider... More

One of the best Hotel locations in the capital. So easy to get to great bars (like the one on the ground floor) restaurants and landmarks. Blackfriars tube station, literally just across the road is so well connected and it make getting everywhere so easy! The rooms and service in this hotel is fantastic, also room upgrade is well worth... More

Have stayed in quite a few CPs, and this one thoroughly lived up to the standards I've come to expect. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff (especially the concierge who went out in the pouring rain to track down a cab for us!), and being an IHG Platinum member, they could not do enough for us. Very pleasant room, no view... More

We booked this on another site as a secret hotel based on its location and were very happy with the outcome. The location is its selling point, tube station just across the road with a direct connection to Gatwick. Supermarket and coffee shops all nearby. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff were very obliging, we did sign up for... More

I stayed in this Hotel for 4days with some friends and we all agree it's amazing, confortable, large and refined rooms with big, clean and elegant bathroom; an incredible staff always there for customers's needs, always very kind and polite and last but not least a very abundant and various breakfast is waiting for you every morning. Excellent, really!! The... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
