The Club Lounge was a bit small and understaffed, but the man running the room on Saturday morning was clearly enthusiastic and passionate about his job and although rushed off his feet was constantly checking all the guests were happy.

First time for me at this Crowne Plaza and it was everything I expected it to be. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast has a wide choice and there is plenty of food, this represents good value. I liked the lounge bar on the ground floor and the staff... More

We stayed as a family of four in a family room, for the weekend of the London Marathon. The location is perfect. Opposite Blackfriars tube station, there is a Starbucks and Tesco Express on the doorstep and it was right on the marathon route for my family and 1.5 miles from the finish for me, so for this trip the... Location was perfect for us. We travelled with our two boys and we picked this hotel just because it's right across from Blackfriars station and we didn't want to drag our suitcases too far. This hotel is in a business district with no nightlife around, perfect for our family as we like it quiet. There's a minimart, Tesco, right next... More

I am always impressed with this hotel, the staff are brilliant and the rooms are spotless, I've stayed here quite a few times, each one has been a winner. Reasonably priced for London, it's a fantastic hotel!

I like this hotel. There are some things about it that annoy me (e.g. room service cheese and chutney sandwiches were not available because they had no chutney - 'Take £5.00 out of petty cash and go to the Tesco across the road!' I said). But , all-in-all, I find it to be well managed with a happy, communicative and... More

I travelled on business as I had a meeting on Fleet Street the following day. The hotel is located perfectly for the business community although it is not far from many of the London attractions. The service was excellent and the room was very clean and tidy and a high standard. I booked late and it only cost £179 for... More

Yet again another fantastic stay in this hotel. - Great staff - Great breakfast - Great room Was recognised as an IHG member on arrival, given (not requested) and room I'd previously stayed in and cannot fault anything, except..... The bed on this occasion seemed to be one of those that with two of you sleeping in it, you (un)naturally... More

I stayed here on Business last week, and had a wonderful time. I`m an IHG Platinum member, and had a club room, with access to the club room. Breakfast there was terrific and relaxing, and the service was very friendly. Special mention goes to Balazs, who was there every morning, and gave me a welcoming greeting every morning. He was... Stayed with my wife for a weekend trip to a friends' birthday party on a Miles deal plus small supplement. Certainly very much worth it. Nice hotel, good location though although not really anything too special.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
