Located between the City and Covent Garden, not so far from the Shard and the Tower of London. Great service and nice room. Breakfast is actually gorgeous with almost anything you may eat around you. Very nice hotel

Excellent hotel. Great location. Right next to the Black-fair underground station so it was very convenient to go to all the sights. We got a superior room with 2 double beds. The room was large, very clean, nice modern décor and a very nice bathroom.Hotel provide free bottles of water everyday we stayed. All the hotel staff were very helpful. Strongly recommended.

An easy to access hotel literally across the road from Blackfriars tube, the entrance you see is a bit of a pain to get in as its a small revolving door (the side doors were locked when we stayed) which was awkward with cases. Check in was welcoming, we were upgraded to a club floor room (but only after we... More

Stayed here with my Mum and sister for a getaway last summer. Fantastic location, opposite from Blackfriars tube station which has recently been renovated and is very modern and clean. Turn left out of the hotel and you will find a Costa, Starbucks, Pret a Manger and Nero, which are all perfect for breakfast if you are not willing to... More

The Club Lounge was a bit small and understaffed, but the man running the room on Saturday morning was clearly enthusiastic and passionate about his job and although rushed off his feet was constantly checking all the guests were happy.

First time for me at this Crowne Plaza and it was everything I expected it to be. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast has a wide choice and there is plenty of food, this represents good value. I liked the lounge bar on the ground floor and the staff... More

We stayed as a family of four in a family room, for the weekend of the London Marathon. The location is perfect. Opposite Blackfriars tube station, there is a Starbucks and Tesco Express on the doorstep and it was right on the marathon route for my family and 1.5 miles from the finish for me, so for this trip the... Location was perfect for us. We travelled with our two boys and we picked this hotel just because it's right across from Blackfriars station and we didn't want to drag our suitcases too far. This hotel is in a business district with no nightlife around, perfect for our family as we like it quiet. There's a minimart, Tesco, right next... More

I am always impressed with this hotel, the staff are brilliant and the rooms are spotless, I've stayed here quite a few times, each one has been a winner. Reasonably priced for London, it's a fantastic hotel!

I like this hotel. There are some things about it that annoy me (e.g. room service cheese and chutney sandwiches were not available because they had no chutney - 'Take £5.00 out of petty cash and go to the Tesco across the road!' I said). But , all-in-all, I find it to be well managed with a happy, communicative and... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
