You book at a main reception but I was then directed to a souless block on the far side of Princes Gardens where my room was. The card I was given opened all the doors but I did not see another person the whole time I was there. I was OK with this but older people alone many find crossing... More

I have stayed here before as its good location. Tube just 10 mins away. Right beside museums, Albert Hall and Hyde park. It's student rooms so very basic but they are fine if all you want is a bed. No TV in rooms or Internet access. You walk 5 mins to canteen for breakfast which is a big student cafeteria.... More

This is an area of London I visit regularly and to find budget accommodation for this price was great. To give a comparison, in the past I used a '5 Star' hotel about a mile away and their 'single room' was like a closet looking out on a rubbish dump - here I got a beautiful view from a sensibly-sized,... This place has a great location, near to the museums etc. However we were very disappointed with our room which was a double but which really was only big enough for one. The breakfast was also small and strictly portion-controlled e.g you can have either toast or a croissant but not both. The reception seems to be staffed by students... More

We stayed in the Princes Garden accommodation with friends to go to Hyde Park for Proms in the Park. Talk about value for money! Far cheaper than a hotel, the rooms might be small but so what, they were modern, clean, comfortable, good shower, kettle, tea, coffe and milk provided and lots of room to unpack - in fact more... Stayed at Prince's Gardens for a week during August (single en-suite room) and was fairly pleased. This is a basic, affordable, and very clean accommodation in a superb central London location. If you can do without the extra luxuries of typical hotels, and you don't mind crossing the street each morning to go where breakfast is served, then this is... More

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at here. The beds are comfortable and the pillows lovely and soft. Breakfast can be hectic, finding a table can be challenging! The location of the college is perfect for sightseeing. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay here.

So the College is closed and the students away. What do they do to make some money? Rent the student accommodation as kind of budget hotel rooms. Small double bed. Shower room. Kettle, tea & coffee. Refectory breakfast included. £83 a night. Right in South Kensington between the V&A museum and the Natural History museum. Frankly cannot fault it. Well... More
