I stayed in a small double room at the back of the hotel. The size is quite small and every square centimeter has been cleverly used. It was clean and the bed quite comfortable. The issue is the constant vibration and white noise from air-extractors or engines, even with the doble glazing. Then I moved to a bigger double room... More

Spent the evening in the restaurant, bar and on the roof terrace. The food was good and portion size was excellent. The restaurant is comletely unique with an inside garden in the conservatory and sets the vevnue apart from the norm. There is a healthy choice of beers and ales to choose from and we sampled many. The room with... More

This is bang on Portobello Road. If you want to be local to the London vibe then you couldn't be better located. However, if you are a light sleeper, pack your ear plugs as it is a noisy street late into the night and then early morning as the market sets up. The rooms are the size of the bed... More

Great location and room was ok but was slightly disappointed as website lists an all day bar menu that wasn't on offer (in fact kitchen was closed between 5 and7pm)and although the room rate included breakfast we were only offered a coffee. Probably shouldn't be listed as a hotel or b&b as this is rather misleading and should just be... More

We loved this hotel. The service was great, the pub, restaurant and hotel are all in one, which is very convenient. The location right on Portobello Road is magnificent and we will certainly come back to this hotel.

We had a great stay here myself and my business partner. It's quirky and rustic, food is spectacular (fishermans pie to die for and the morning scrambled eggs Wowsa!) the chef sang his way through breakfast and entertained us all! Rooms small / shower ok but so what it's comfortable and well worth a visit!

Very nice little b&b in the heart of London with Portobello Road market at your doorstep! Very quiet, even when market is on and when pub on ground floor is busy. Tube Station and various bus lines within 5 mins walk. We had a great stay and will come back soon!

I often stay at the Portobello and love it. A recent visit felt like coming home. The manager Alex is so friendly and attentive he makes you feel like you are coming to stay with an old friend. The rooms are quite small but you have everything you need. You couldn't ask for a better location situated right in the... More

We cannot thank you enough for all of your help with the babyshower we threw for our friend on your beautiful room 6 terrace. Your team were welcoming, the facilities fantastic, the food delicious (and reasonably priced), and we couldn't have asked for anything else (except maybe better weather - damn you Thor). One of the Managers even brought up... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
