This place is really chill and in an amazing location. It's easy to get to from Heathrow on the tube (3 min walk from Earl's Ct Tube), yet it's on a quiet street. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants on Earl's Ct. road a block away. I had a really bright and airy room with own bathroom. Everything was clean.... more

The Merlyn Court is located in a classy area of London - Kensington - and is very near the Victoria and Albert Museum (a must-see in London) and a few steps away from. The exteriors are very nice, it's a classical London house. All houses in this street/area have beautiful red bricks and bow windows and stuff. The hotel is... more

We finished our trip with a return to London. Our first hotel was not available for this leg of the trip (4 nights), but we were able to find Merlyn Court. It offers clean, basic accomodations. The rooms are quite small (and we have stayed in small rooms). No lift. Staff was kind. I got sick during the trip. The... more

A friend of ours told us about this hotel. It's nothing fancy, but it is clean and very inexpensive for London. We stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed it. My room was on the main floor and was very quiet. the bed was comfortable. It had a pocket sized bathroom with it's own toilet & shower. If you hate stairs, ask... more

Lovely old building, excellent location (walking distance from a major tube stop), on a quiet street, near many restaurants and other amenities, and the price can't be beat. But most importantly, the owners and staff are some of the nicest people you're likely to meet. I stayed here in 2003 for all of the above reasons, plus it advertised "absolutely... more

A nice and quite cheap hotel, at least for London, one of the most expensive cities I have visited. But I had to go there for professional reasons, and the hotel location was important. This hotel is close to South Kensington, and you can go to Earl's Court station by walk. It is not luxurious, but it is clean and... more

Stayed here for a couple of nights, single room was ample in size and nice and tidy with wash-hand basen. Staff i founf to be excellent as I had recently lost my cashcard and they were very understanding. Liked the decor, but shower on 2nd floor wasn't very warm . One on 3rd floor worked a treat tho. Breakfast was... more

I stayed here for one night and I think that was the limit. I didn't expect too much for spending 40 pounds for the night so I wasn't too worried. The room was very small, and no tv or radio but again, what can you expect for 40 pounds. Shared bathroom and toilets and it is a long way up... more

The Merlyn Court hotel fills a specific niche: it's a low cost, clean motel near downtown London and the tube. For those people seeking inexpensive, no frills lodging in London - it works well. Our experience with the motel was fine. Our flight got in early in the morning, and they were nice enough to allow us to check in... more
