I read some of the reviews on this before we departed and had to make a point to prove them wrong. The hostel was very clean as was each room. Breakfast was basic but nice and enough for everyone. The bathrooms were clean and showers were good. We found the staff very helpful, friendly and easy to approach. The location... more

As i arrived in the hotel, the staff basically ignored me. I tried checking in and the woman at the till was on the phone to her friend. She COMPLETELY IGNORED ME. SO RUDE! I eventually got into my room and the bed was crawling with bed bugs! it wasn't made and there was a yellowy tinge to the sheet.... more

This was our first stay in Baden Powell House. IWe read the other reviews after booking and subsequently felt a bit anxious about what we might find. However, there was no need to worry. The staff were young, but polite and friendly. They were not particularly forthcoming with information - we had to ask about towels, locker room, breakfast etc,... more

we took a large group of about 35, this was our second visit and probably our last. there is a large communication issue as most of the staff seem to understand very little english and this made booking very difficult. booked dinner for one of the nights as we were going to a shoe, they had us booked for the... more

Having just returned from the Baden Powell where we stayed because there was a very large group of us, i was pleasantly surprised. The (double) room was a lot bigger than i expected and there were tea & coffee making facilites with plenty of the stuff. There was also a desk and futon in our room. Plus en-suite toilet room... more

We stayed here with my two children at a very busy time of the year. Yes, the "ensuite" was tiny but we had a quiet and spacious family room with clean bedding. The hostel was basic but clean and all that we wanted as a base for our trip to London. My kids loved the buffet breakfast - especially the... more
