An excellent Hotel with superb staff. Everyone, including the General Manager Ken Milton, were so keen to be helpful in any way, a very friendly hotel. Lovely dining room with buffet breakfast, although staff are on hand for anyone who has problems carrying plates. Ken Milton printed out some information about our Association and displayed it on Reception.

Dear Anne L Thank you so much for your review. I can tell from your review that you were part of the Bevin Boys reunion group. (for those who do not know - Bevin Boys were young British men conscripted to work in the coal mines of the United Kingdom, from December 1943 until 1948. Chosen at random from conscripts... More

Stayed last weekend for a 3 day break, must sat tyhat the location of hotel was excellent together with lovely staff and superb breakfast. Commendations to all the staff and the Captain Ken for a well run ship. Especially as the downstairs bar / lounge resembled the QE 2. All passengers had a drink and nobody fell over board......Cheers.

'Ahoy Shipmate' - Chrissy224 Thank you for your fantastic review, I am so pleased you enjoyed the location, food ad staff at the hotel. A captain is only as good as his crew, and it is so nice to read you nice comments regarding them all. Once again thank you. More

My first visit to historic London was made all the better with a taste of 'Olde London' paired with great accommodations and service. The location to the great Naval Academy and museum coupled with the village of Blackheath makes it ideal for any reason. We were there for business, and except for the constant failure of their Wifi system, they... More

Dear Mark F Thank you very much for your review, you really have summed up our hotel and location perfectly, and I am so pleased this was right for your stay. As you say we are Old'e traditional hotel set in Blakheath Village. A very nautical area, with Greenwich very close and Deptford (Deptford) meaning 'deepford' being the ship building... More

Stayed here for a night on a visit to London, lovely hotel, friendly staff, close to transport into central London, took about 15-20 mins via train from Blackheath station to Charing Cross, room was clean, tidy, a nice size for a family of 4, very comfortable beds, with TV and decent sized bathroom, breakfast was lovely with helpful polite staff,... The Clarendon hotel is situated close to Blackheath. The hotel is an old Edwardian building with a certain charm ( If you find squeaky floors charming). Some of the rooms have a nice view overlooking the Heath. They are fairly big, even if the bathroom is small. The breakfast is included in the room price and is a standard English... More

Dear Onkejohn Thank you for your review, with regards to the wi-fi the hotel is with EE. The system was boosted and upgraded recently with better coverage in the entire hotel, however I have sent your comments to EE and asked if there are more improvement to be made. Very nice hotel outside of London but so close to amenities like Greenwich, Buses on the door step in to Greenwich or nice walk over the green, and boat trips into the city. Hotel staff very helpful and attentive, meals very good both evening and breakfast. Down side is the roundabout outside the front door which is very busy, and... More

I stayed here over one weekend for a local wedding. Good points, looks out onto the huge green expanse of Greenwich Park, there is a quiet garden at the back if the weather is suitable, the staff are very helpful, everywhere is clean, the breakfasts are good, there are myriad eating places in Blackheath a one minute walk away, and,... We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in September as part of a leisure trip to visit friends. Visited the Clarendon beginning of September 14. It is well located for visits to Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark and maritime museum.
