Great location near the varied selection of great bars and restaurants of Blackheath Village. Parking can be a squeeze but there's plenty available on the heath or around and about. Rooms always spotless and well made. The best of the hotel is the attitude, spirit and helpfulness of the staff. They all smile, take an interest and make you feel... More

We didn't stay here-we booked for an 80's themed evening, as a family group, for my parents 50th anniversary. Most importantly for us, we had a great evening overall. BUT.... Pre-meal drinks: arrived early as a group of 8 and went to bar for drinks- bar has the feel of a boat! was nice/quirky. However, four of us ordered cocktails... More

We came here to stay with my family for my sons graduation. Having been here a number of times before, we were not disappointed and had a wonderful time, with fantastic service from the staff. Both the food and rooms were lovely as usual. Looking forward to our next visit in the not too distant future.

Dear Tony U, thank you for posting your review. It is always good to read comments from a guest who has stayed with us before. I presume the graduation was at either Greenwich University or Goldsmiths as they are two of the nearest to us. Congratulations, you must of been proud, I certainly was. So pleased also to see that... More

The reception staff greeted me when I arrived. She was very helpful. I sat in the bar with my colleague whilst waiting for the other's to arrive. Very Christmassy. When all the guest arrived we were shown to our table it was pleasantly set and the deco was nice. It was the night when everyone was having their Christmas do... More

Excellent Reception staff who were very helpful when we called in to announce that we had arrived 10.30am but would not be back until late that night. Booked this for one night. Found the room clean & tidy if a little stayed, room wasn't that quiet as the road outside gets busy during rush hour and there is a steady stream of traffic all day. . It is close to Greenwich Park/ Martime Museum walking distance , also with reasonable access to London via trains. Although why... More

We stayed here for one night. Although hotel a little "tired" in places the location and helpfulness of the staff more than made up for this. Within 15minutes walk you reach Rotal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark. There is a bus stop outside hotel for a 10-15 minute ride to O2. Mohammed in the restaurant gave us excellent... More

The Clarendon is well situated on Blackheath common, easy access to the railway station (for London or the Kent coast) and just twenty minutes walk away from Greenwich (museum etc.) through the park. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very spacious - this was a rear facing room in the original Georgian part of the hotel. The staff were pleasant,... More

Well placed for visiting the Maritime Museum and surrounding attractions. The staff could not have been more helpful. However the room needed some attention- the bathroom door would not close properly, neither did the window. The window was single glazed and offered no insulation from the outside noise whatsoever. We though having a room at the back of the hotel... More

Today I tasted the best scones. They were part of a lovely afternoon tea which catered for vegetarians like me and someone in the group who was gluten free. The service was very very good and the hotel lounge was simply beautiful. We had sandwiches which were succulent. Mine were brown bread with tomato and cucumber and they were fresh... More
