I wanted to stay overnight close to Barts Hospital and this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We were able to get a parking space just outside which made things even easier, and we could walk to the hospital in under 10 minutes. The room was fine and I slept soundly. We had dinner in the brasserie and enjoyed it (though... More

Stayed at Malmaison with some friends on a recent trip to London. It's in a good location - close to St Pauls and the city. Rooms were pleasant - nothing exceptional and was a good price £139 for a double room. We opted for the bubbles and breakfast package which was £16 each. Whilst quite expensive this gave us a... Elena from front desk excellent help, patient and has great recommendations. Great hotel for great price and walking distance from must see attractions. Has a nice bar with complimentary drinks and a breakfast buffet that was ok for light eating in order to get your day started.

Lucky enough to get one free night here through Continental tyres, we decided to book an extra night with the hotel and make a weekend of it. On the whole our experience was very positive, the bed was super comfy, the room was clean and tidy and the shower was almost an adventure in itself.. The food in the restaurant... More

Stayed here with my daughter who was 18th on the day we arrived. Lovely touch was they'd written a card and left a beautifully decorated slice of birthday cake in our room. Loved the decor of the room and hotel in general. Our twin room (206) was spacious and beds lovely and comfortable. Fabulous shower and fluffy towels and bathrobes.... More

I hadn't been to the Mal in London since July ( a great trip - for pleasure )- this time it was business and I took along my young 20something manager . It was terrific - again . My manager's first visit.... He LOVED it all ! Thought it all ' ultra cool'! Everything was spot on and in particular... More

Coming for a 3 day-weekend after former stays in Malmaison Glasgow and Edinburgh. The London Malmaison confirmed my souvenir of a great place to stay. Perfect room and bath - generously equipped, perfectly clean. Excellent staff - extremely professional and helpful! Our special thanks to them! Delicious food - dinner and breakfast were perfect. Nice location and surroundings - lots... More

Booked one night for the bargain price of £40. Thought it must be a mistake. What's not to like. Good location and lovely room decorated in a contemporary style. Can't really comment about anything else because we haven't eaten here or even been in the bar.

We've spent 4 days in London, during that time we stayed at Malmaison which was a great experience. Really friendly staff and nice rooms. We've booked a room for two and everything was fine with it, comfortable bed , big and clean bathroom....The hotel is also located quiet close to the city centre so if you want to discover the... I stayed at the Malmaison London twice recently, in Oct 2015 and yesterday (Feb 2016). Both times I left extremely dissatisfied, and the hotel just seems not to care! The first time I went in Oct 2015, I ordered breakfast to the room the evening before by hanging the card on my door for 08:00. Nothing arrived by 09:00, and... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
