Great location for the city & 2 mins from Barbican tube and Smithfields. Lots of great eateries on the doorstep. Lovely decor in the hotel and rooms and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We had room service and the food was delicious and arrived quickly. The air con didn't seem to work in the room so I opened... More

Our room was cosy warm with all the facilities you would expect for a hotel of this calibre All The staff were helpful & friendly We dined at the hotel restaurant we had different fish dishes both being very nice . It was a 15 minute stroll to StPauls cathedral passing a few POI enroute would definitely stay again

We had an excellent stay. The quality if accommodation was perfect- well designed and confortable rooms and a fabulous bed! The location was good to travel around the capital, and the staff were extremely helpful.

This is an unusual hotel in that the location is away from the madding crowds of central London but with lots of interesting thinks to see very close by. The walk to the Thames is great but its worth exploring some of the areas nearby

Stayed here for one night before an early Eurostar the next morning. Very nice quiet spot a short walk from Barbican tube station. Had to wait a few minutes at check in as both receptionists were on the phone but no big deal. We had booked a cosy double which was fine for us as we spent the evening out... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Service from the minute we walked in was excellent. Our room was large, clean and modern. Bed as really comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was delicious! We will be back again!

Room clean, staff very helpful. The room was in the first floor and did have a small background noise from some kind of fan that for some people could make a difference to get to sleep. Recommended for couples.

Easter Monday and only £47!! The location is central, and there are bars, cafes and restaurants all around, as well as two underground stations a few minutes walk away. Its in a historic square with places to wander round about. The hotel was quiet, the room quite spacious, but oh, the details and extras! Cool, modern design, kettle, fridge, hair... More

Great value stay on Bank Holiday Monday (£47 Room Only), and this wasn't for a small room either. As we'd arrived earlier than the normal check-in time, we weren't expecting to be able to actually leave our bags in a room. The helpful receptionist said the last available room had just been taken by someone else, and that we could... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
