My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as an Anniversary stay in March 2015. The hotel was easy to find - it's not directly next to a tube station so means a short walk. But it's a pleasant area filled with bars and restaurants. The check-in was easy and due to it being a special occasion, we were... More

We stayed on a Friday night in a club room. It's in a quiet square, but only steps from the city and St Paul's. Our room was lovely, very quiet and very comfortable. The place has a classy feel to it. We ate in the French restaurant which is almost next door anf that was great too.

Lovely boutique hotel. Great room, comfy bed and modern design all round. Nice welcome on arrival and easy access to rooms via lifts from lobby. Unfortunately I have marked them down due to a couple of issues which although small they do matter. I was asked if I wanted a morning paper, advised which one, but never received the following... Had family down from Scotland. They stayed here and had a wonderful weekend stay. Clean stylish rooms and wonderful customer service. The bar was a fun place. Only small so turn up with too many people might have to wait a little for cocktails. Looking for a weekend break hotel this is the one you want.

We have previously stayed at the Malmaison in Manchester some years back and found it great. So we decided to use the London one for our up and coming Wedding night but to our dismay despite indicating that we love the hotel for its quirky charm and after viewing the room (Executive suite) and thinking this will be the one,... 1st stay in the London Mal and it's just as good as the others .... Special mention to Obi - who seems to work 24 hours a day. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Capital. Easily accessed in a Central location. Check-in staff as efficient as you'd expect from a company like Malmaison. Lovely large spacious room (a... More

The Malmasion London is a very comfortable hotel in a quiet garden square just opposite Smithfield Market, staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed with a comfortable bed, great shower and real filter coffee. Although in the financial district and away from the London's West End the hotel is surrounded by pubs and cafes,... More

Sorry but since its makeover the décor lacks a luxury feel , the kingsized bed feels small because of the style of the bed. Had an enormous wall clock over the bed that wasn't working , no shade on light makes it harsh , no chair just a garden type stool & glass table , wood style wallpaper not very... More

Special offer was really good value with dinner and a bottle of wine thrown in. Attentive staff in the restaurant and very comfortable bed. Remarkably quiet for the middle of the city and ideal as a business person.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
