This is very basic budget accomodation in a tight space. We may have had bad luck but our room was in need of serious refurbishment and maintenance, with a smell of raw seweage emering from the bathroom, a grimy old carpet, poorly functioning shower. Other reviewers apparently were luckier than we were. On the positive, good beds, friendly and helpful... More

When scouting out places to stay in Kings Cross, London I nearly had a heart attack when pricing the usual suspects of discount chain hotels. The cheapest I could find was 120 sterling. This place was recommended to me but I was still dubious when I saw the price of a twin room was 61.50. I was so surprised when... More

Me and 2 friends visited london in July 2011. The hotel was great value for money and it included breakfast and it was a hearty breakfast at that. The hotel is recently been refurbished and the rooms looks lovely, we also had an ensuite bathroom, hairdryer lcd flat screen tv as well as tea/coffee facility. The location is great as... More

The location of princess was the best thing ever. Just 2-3 mins walk from king cross. The rooms are very small and basic. But it's clean so that's enough. The sharing bathrooms waere always clean although sometimes the water heater acts up Breakfast was yummy and so filling. Great value! Recommended for all travellers who just needs a simple night... We stayed here as my fiance had friends coming over from Ireland and needed a base to travel to the sights of London which was cheap. We arrived early on the Saturday morning and they kindly stored our rucksacks whilst we went off trying to find the friends. The staff were very helpful. We didn't opt for an en suite... More

Pros: Location, Price? (cheap but terrible value for price) Cons: They lie about storing your luggage on day of arrival and departure, they don't even have a place to store it. Staff is very rude, and being polite to them does not change that. They even blamed me for the ash clouds over Europe because I am from Iceland, and... More

I stayed in the Princess B&B over 2 periods - 3 days in May and 3 days in June with a friend. To be honest, I have never stayed in a non-ensuite room while travelling overseas and princess B&B was the first; I was naturally apprehensive. During my first leg of the stay, my friend and I got the basement... More

We arrived at 12:00pm and were told the room wasn't ready and they weren't sure when it would be. Check in time says 12:00 pm and onwards but he couldn't even guarantee that it would be ready by 2:00 pm. They were able to hold our bags for us so we could go sightseeing and fortunately it was ready when... More

Horrible place. Very old rooms. Bed was OK. We paid for a room with bathrooms, and we couldn't get into the bathrooms. They were very unclean and we still ended up going to the common bathroom. The bed covers were very rough. Breakfast wasn't bad. More
