Hostel with good atmodphere. We were 4 so we took a room with 4 beds. Our room was cleaned but not so illuminated, without charm. The location is however perfect (for Soho quarter, shopping...) and price ok for London.

london is very expensive. this hostel is a great alternative for people that wish to see the city on a tight budget. the place is good for young people and students. the rooms and the beds are not in a good condition. despite of all that i will still go back because of the cheep price and the amazing location.

This hostel is just okay - it has the bare essentials but nothing more than that. The rooms are very plain and the toilets were dirty. The only thing you are really paying for here is the location - very central.

Let's be clear, all you pay hear is the location. The toilet has never been cleaned. It's more then disgusting. You need a new vacation after this. I have been to poor places but this one was the worst. I'm always surprised when I see normal hostels after this first expirience. So NO, this is no place to stay for... More

I've never experienced anything like it, I went with a group of about 30 of us. There was 6 of us girls sharing a room, that was horrible. Bars at the windows, had to make our own beds, no bins.... The bathroom was terrible, the queues were ridiculous and the showers are a safety hazard, I took a chunk of... More

Amazing staff, they KNOW how to party and to look after you. Perfect location, so close to soho, Carnaby, the tube and Oxford! Amazing place. The rooms are what you would expect in a cheap hostel, we stayed in a 8-12 bed dorm when we were there (stayed there 3 times) the occasional naked man was frightening. But we made... More

My friend and I spent here 3 nights. Sheets were dirty and ragged (though the staff changed them after our complains). Rooms are cold and dirty (it was February), hall is freezing (especially when you have to get form the shower to your room) and overall expression is terrible. The only one good thing was its excellent location. Everything is at... More

My wife and I spent one night here. We made reservations and all was fine when we checked in. We've stayed at hostel's before so our expectations were not a 5 star hotel. We just wanted a room and bed and that is what we got. The staff were very helpful and polite. They explained everything. It was a challenge... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
