The best thing about hostels is you're bound to make friends. With a great and youthful vibe, this one was no exception. People of all ages were friendly and respectful. Common area had computers and couches. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Amazing location, and the free walking tour was tops. Would go back!

What more can you want in London. In Soho, just off Oxford Street. You can walk everywhere. We stayed for three nights in a small double room, spotlessly clean with a wash basin. No en-suites at this YHA. But,never had a problem with getting a shower, and bath towels were supplied. We paid £65per night. We never had problem with noise. The 73 bus,is the one... More

YHA Oxford Street is most definitely in the best location possible, close to Oxford Circus, walkable to main sights. HOWEVER, the walls of the hostel are super thin! Our next door neighbour was speaking extremely loudly (a couple girls chatting and laughing loudly close to midnight) and really bothered my mom and I who are trying to get some sleep... More

Great location, staff are friendly and helpful. I shared a room with 3 others, the room had all your basic needs, if was clean and well maintained, the shared bathroom was also well looked after, cleaned regularly. Cost was very reasonable, especially for the great central London location.

I stayed here with my son in November, we had a private room with bathroom opposite. The hostel was very central, easy to find and the staff were first class, very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back if I was staying in London, my son loved it too. This is the second hostel we have stayed in and think... More

Everything was great... the bedroom, the bed, bathroom, the receptionits, the cleaning. I loved the place. BUT there was no lift from the reception to the room so I had to go up two floors with bags in my arms. If you're traveling light, it's perfect, but if you carry heavy things better evaluate some alternative

I really loved this hostel. Amazing staff, extremely well located, easy to find, to move from and with a lot of extra services like, walking tour and pubcrawl (is the start point for turist guides). Good Breakfast and very organized and clean facilities.

I stayed at the YHA London Oxford St in October 2014. This was my first experience in a YHA hostel and I absolutely loved it! When I checked in I was greeted with friendly and cheery staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. Throughout my stay the staff were excellent every time I approached the desk and... We stayed here for 2 nights in November. It is on the 3rd floor and an idea to take the lift going up. We were then on the 6th floor but it was clean, great showers.Staff were really helpful and advised on walking times and distances and transport. We successfully negotiated the underground with their advice. And they make a... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
