People was really friendly, so very helpful and Willing to assist you at all times. Tidy, quiet, and extremely well located. Thank you. Showers and toilets clean. Bar was cheap. Kitchen has got anything you can ask for.

This is my 3rd or 4th stay at the London YHA Oxford Street, and I am always pleased with the best possible location of this wonderful hostel. Tha hostel is clean, nicely designed, modern, and for London prices - not expensive. Although the rooms are small, the include a basin/sink, lockers, and individualised power outlets + shelf, which are uncommon... More

Great hostel. You are minutes away from liberty and Oxford and regent streets. We stayed for three nights and managed and this was a great base. Showers are clean, breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. Would stay again

Checked in and was told the lift didn't work, so quite a nuisance if you have heavy bags and two levels up. Reception offered to help, but I can imagine this would be inconvenient in busy times. Four share dorm was VERY cramped. Small gap between top bunk and roof, and tiny floor space. Other facilities are okay. Location is... More

A lady friend and I booked into the youth hostel in West London not knowing what to expect being a busy area for tourists and also being new years eve We are both experienced YHA guests despite being in our 50's and 60's and were not just surprised but amazed at how comfortable and clean the accommodation was [twin bedded... Are you like me and think that Youth Hostels are for people 20 years younger than you...? Well that changed after I spent a night in the YHA, on Oxford Street for £24! Yep, twenty four English pounds... The room was clean, I got to stay in bunk beds with my mate, the shared facilities were clean (powerful & hot... More

The best thing about hostels is you're bound to make friends. With a great and youthful vibe, this one was no exception. People of all ages were friendly and respectful. Common area had computers and couches. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Amazing location, and the free walking tour was tops. Would go back!

What more can you want in London. In Soho, just off Oxford Street. You can walk everywhere. We stayed for three nights in a small double room, spotlessly clean with a wash basin. No en-suites at this YHA. But,never had a problem with getting a shower, and bath towels were supplied. We paid £65per night. We never had problem with noise. The 73 bus,is the one... More

YHA Oxford Street is most definitely in the best location possible, close to Oxford Circus, walkable to main sights. HOWEVER, the walls of the hostel are super thin! Our next door neighbour was speaking extremely loudly (a couple girls chatting and laughing loudly close to midnight) and really bothered my mom and I who are trying to get some sleep... More

Great location, staff are friendly and helpful. I shared a room with 3 others, the room had all your basic needs, if was clean and well maintained, the shared bathroom was also well looked after, cleaned regularly. Cost was very reasonable, especially for the great central London location.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
