I really wanted to give an higher review, but I can’t, The location is great to go around, near the tube and also walk to queens path and Tower bridge. The staff was always available for any question. Hostel layout vary funky and relax and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed as group in a 10 bedroom... More

The location of the hostel is amazing and the hostel itself has a warm atmosphere to it. Staff was friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable. However, the number of power sockets (2) for a 12 bed dorm was extremely inconvenient as you either had to wait for someone to finish charging their phones or you had to bother... More

Far too many negative reviews on here! I thought it was absolutely brilliant for the price! Couldn't fault anything. Staff were very helpful, hostel was lovely and clean, breakfast was plenty, location excellent and beds really comfy! Room was clean and showers/toilets were also good. We were on the top floor and had easy access to the roof terrace where... More

I have stayed for a period of 7 nights at this hostel, facilities were good, bathrooms were clean (most of the time), we had Wi-Fi in our rooms we could connect to. Everything was great until the 6th night when I got very high fever, my temperature reached 40 degrees and I had to see a doctor or at least... More

Only stayed here for one night and had no problems. All bedding was clean, fresh, and comfy. Bathrooms and shower stalls were clean. I would prefer showers where the temperature is controllable. Had a good sandwich at Belushi's for a reasonable price after the hostel discount. 24 hour reception meant someone was there early in the morning when I checked... More

I stayed at a St Christopher's in Paris and imo the hostel there was nicer and more modern than this one, so I automatically was disappointed. Did not like that there was no common place to hang out and no wifi on the top floor. Not a good vibe, could probably do better in London.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We do indeed house ourselves in an older building and so some of that 'charm' will always be around. However, we are in the process of upgrading many of our facilities as well as our wifi. We do have a chill out room, our common room, at... More

The hostel is average, the breakfast is good, the rooms too but the bathrooms no. There is no wifi in the roomeverythingbody is at the lobby trying to find connection. However, the worst part was the attention: I was really sick and the woman at the reception didnt let the doctor get inside the hostel because "he was a stranger"although... More

Can't beat the location, at the heart of Southwark, stone's throw from the Bridge. Dirt cheap for the money, decent breakfast and cheap drinks, wi-fi and lockers in rooms. Quite safe. So all your basics in place which is what you can ask for in London. Now the problem. The famous Belushi's was loud with a lot of drunk peeps... More

Hey there, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Sometimes we know Belushi's can get a bit rowdy and we encourage our guests to have a good time, but I appreciate how it might get a bit much sometimes. I'll be sure to pass on your comments to the management. Hope to see you again, happy travels... More

This hostel is your average hostel with clean bedrooms and in a handy spot. The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner and probably need a bit of work - one of the drains popped out as I was showering as it was blocked. We found the location was handy and not too far away from what we wanted to... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
