The hostel is fine, good prices and good facilites. The bathroom is small and is always crowded in the morning. People is friendly and it's so easy to make new friends there, specially if you go alone, you can meet people from all over the world. I was there in summer 2011 and we had karaoke on thursdays at the... More

I arrived in London with absolutely no plans and no idea where I was staying for the night. London Backpackers had a bed available for a great rate and I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The bunks were comfortable with a power strip and reading light at the head of every bed. Each guest got a lockable (bring your... More

I stayed here with my partner for 1 week in a 15 room dorm and we don't usually ever complain.. 1 huge issue is the no air conditioning In our room or even a fan, one tiny window was all so if was overheated as you can imagine with 15 bodies breathing. The breakfast consisted of toast and bread and... More

I spent a night here over the weekend, and was pleasently suprised. For £14 for a 12-bed female dorm, I wasn't expecting very much, so was impressed by what I got. The hostel is right outside the tube station on the Northern line, which made for easy-access in and out of the city centre. The bed was comfortable, and the... More

From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. The staff were attentive, helpful, and even remembered my name! There were lots of people there, all in a similar age range (mostly backpackers) which made for friendships and lots of fun. The hostel is a bit outdated - it had hundreds of movies available to watch in the common room... More

This was my first real hostel I had ever stayed in. Me and two friends stayed here and at first we were really nervous about staying in a hostel but the experience ended up being amazing for sure. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a good hostel to stay at a reasonable price to look here.

London Backpacker was my first experience with a hostel and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My sister and I were in a 10rm female dorm and we were lucky to get very normal and nice girls from all over the world. Its extremely cheap and conveniently close to the tube. The bathrooms were kinda gross... More

Not a good hostel. The men's bathroom was absolutely rancid. Despite showering in flip-flops, I felt compelled to bathe my feet in hand sanitizer after every shower. Security was poor. I stayed in a private room and one evening forgot the pin code to my door (my bad). I asked a staff member who handed it over without hesitation, no... More

My wife and I recently stayed at London Backpackers for three nights. We booked two beds in a standard 14 bed mixed dorm. There were three-tiered bunk beds with rolling locker baskets on the floor beneath the bottom bunk. We had enough space to secure our belongings, but we had to purchase our own locks. (We purchased the locks at... More

After staying three nights in the 18 bed dorm, a number of things presented themselves as major problems. 1. Though the beds come with sheets and pillowcases, I could smell the 100s of people's sweat through my pillow and ended up not using it. Downside of cheap bedding is its need for constant replacement... 2. Very cramped kitchen and dining... More
