This hostel is strategically located at 3 mins walk to Hammermith underground and bus station. We booked a double room with shared bathroom and the service was ok, we found clean towels and the toilets on our floor were tidy and pretty clean. Kind receptionist especially at night. Overall a good hostel, better than many others ive tried in Central... More

This place is located very near to Hammersmith tube station, which has direct connections to many important places in London (Piccadilly, Victoria,...). Abercorn House doesn't have much of a hostel atmosphere, it's a huge place with many rooms which makes it look a lot like a Holiday Inn kind of place. The shared bathrooms were plenty and rather clean, the... More

I stayed in the hostel with a friend because it was close to the Shepherds Bush arena. My friend and I shared a double room, which cost £25 each. We were upgraded to an ensuite room, I assume due to a booking error. The room was very clean but basic. You had to pay for Wifi. It was much nicer... More

I have booked a room with private bathroom for my mum and myself. We first had a room on the ground floor close to the hostel entrance which was very noisy, we could not sleep all night because of the door which people slammed, people shouting ... We asked the next morning to change room and the staff kindly accepted,... More

Don't know what people expect for what you're paying. I stayed here with my son for 2 nights for a theatre break. It's 2 mins walk from Hammersmith underground. I felt safe walking here late at night. Beds were comfy. Fridge in room aswell. Ideal for £80! Going back again this month actually with no hesitation.

PROS: - The room was clean - A few mins walk to Hammersmith Metro/Bus station, so good location (one of the main reasons for selecting it) - Quiet as it is located on a side street - Good value for money CONS: - Tiny room with thin walls & very small bathroom -

I booked without reading the reviews, these were very negative. I was a bit scared to be honest, especially about the bedbugs... When we checked in I was positively surprised. The rooms were basic, but very clean. Also the facilities were regularly cleaned. Apparently they made improvements after the feedback. The only downside was the hallway, the fire escapes were... Arrived to be told there was a problem with our room and we'd been relocated to a beautiful 5* £200 a night hotel instead. This had happened to us and another couple. Despite our reservations we reluctantly agreed as we had tickets for a show and needed a place to stay. New hotel which was miles away from where we... More
