The hostel offers what you would expect in budget accommodation. The facilities are clean and well maintained I stayed for three nights in a four-bed dorm. It was basement-level and with a window facing an outer wall. Not a great view, but not something to worry about anyway. Each bed had its own lamp and power sockets. WiFi worked well... More

We spent a lot of time in hostels this trip and this was one of the best. We had a private room, which was reasonably priced for 2 people, quite roomy and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms appeared to have been updated recently and were very clean. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home even when... More

Barmy Badger's location is excellent: in very safe feeling Kensington, a five minute walk from Earl's Court tube station, with a small grocery store on the corner. The inside of the hostel feels very worn-in (for better or worse), and the bathroom locations are a bit odd, but you get used to it. Oh, and the wifi worked consistently, better... More

The Barmy Badgers Backpackers Hostel is the best in London. the Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. It's Very clean. The beds are super comfortable and the facilities are excellent. Free breakfast and all-day tea/coffee is a huge bonus. Location is excellent. Even the long-term residents are great, ever time I've visited I've been made to feel like I... More

Just off of Earls Court, this is the perfect spot for exploring down town London. With lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and a Sainsburys on the corner if you fancy staying in. In a converted town house the hostel has good space for mingling and a great patio, weather permitting.. Breakfast is included, basic but a bonus... More

I traveled to The Badger in April with my sister. We stayed for 6 days and overall had an excellent experience. They were very welcoming and gave us suggestions of places to visit. I plan to stay here again at the beginning of September before going to college.

On arrival I was early and was able to head to my room immediately. I was given a set of linen and had to make my own bed (not such a big issue) but a first for a hostel, that's for sure. I was in one of the rooms in the top of the house (the converted attic space?). After... More

I was attracted to this hostel because of the price (on the lower end of the hostels in London, but not the very cheapest), location (central) and great reviews, and I was not disappointed. Prior to arrival I was a bit worried about the location (since it's not in the most central Picadilly Circus, or Bloomsbury, neighborhoods), but it worked... More

Pro's - Ensuite bathroom for each room, friendly and welcoming staff, great location (walking distance to tube, main road and Hyde park). Free breakfast was basic but tasty. Con's - Creaky bedroom floor made it hard to be quiet. No elevator. Great value for money in London and I would be go back for my next visit.
