an very friendly and homely hostel. the patrons are welcoming and hospitable. it's located right near earl's court station which is extremely comfortable. the facilities are clean and there's never a line to the bathroom. since half the visitors are actually staying there for an extended period, they maintain the very cool and relaxed atmosphere. I stayed here for a week while I was flat-hunting in London. I have to say, I had a fantastic experience. Victoria and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and helpful. It's only a small thing but I loved the way whoever was at reception would acknowledge you when you passed by going out the door - just... More

I often choose hostels or hotels becouse they are near "my" concert area :) The concerts end about 11 -12 PM and I come back in the night, so it is good to know that I have only 15-20 minutes by foot to my hostel .So thats way I chose Barmy Badger Backpackers last year in June ( Rodriguez :).... I booked into the Badger for work commitments and overnight stay. The reception staff made me feel welcome, and answered any questions I had (for directions etc). I found the room to be clean, warm, and was given clean bedding. A short walk to the underground station made it a convenient location. When the next work meeting is called, I... More

I think some of the really negative reviews on here must be from a while back before they did some upgrade work. This is a great hostel with very reasonable prices in an unbeatable location. The room and bathroom were both nice and clean. The bunk beds are sturdy wooden frame, so you don't have to deal with those squeaky,... More

I booked a bed in 4bed female dorm with priv bathroom. Reception staff very friendly, very professional, nothing is a problem. You are given clean bedsheets, key to room, code to main door and wifi pass. The room was clean, the locker is big, you can put your luggage inside, also inside is a secure locker for your valuables. Enough... More

Ive travelled quite a lot and this is one of the nicest backpackers Ive stayed at. Ive much appreciated the welcoming staff and the free safe. The garden was lovely too. The location was perfect for me as I used to work and live in west ken but also being next to the piccadilly line is very handy. See you... More

I stayed at the Barmy for 10 days, with a friend. We used a 4 person dormitory (only for female), with a bathroom. First, the staff is really nice, the common areas are nice too (a tv room big enough, a big kitchen, quite a few bathrooms, a backyard with tables and chairs). Secondly : the room. It's quite small,... More

I have stayed in hostels in London and all over Europe, and this is the first time that I've ever had to make my own bed on arrival. The staff I encountered were polite though. I only stayed one night, and I found the linens cheap and drab (and towel rental overpriced), the layout of the hostel wasn't great, and... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you found certain aspects of the hostel unsatisfactory. Looking through the bookings, I noticed that you were in the room upstairs with the communal bathroom next door. The bathroom was recently installed and we specifically put in a larger than average sized shower (my shower at home is smaller!). All of... More

Stayed at the Barmy Badger for 6 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen is huge and the common room is very nice. No trouble using the WiFi. Place was very clean and the trash was picked up everyday. Laundry facility was nice. Close to everything! Can walk to several sights,... More
