Nice Hotel for the price, bit wary when I read some reviews as some didn't do the hotel justice. Yes its not first class but for the price considering the location it was ideal for our short stay, the room was spartan but had all we needed including en suite. Drinks available from the dining area at all times as... More

The owners of this hotel are so friendly, they cook an excellent breakfast and are very helpful. The rooms are small but clean. The towels were tired and could do with replacing but otherwise a good place for visiting London. They only serve breakfast but guests are welcome to use the kitchen and there are plenty of good eating places... More

For us, the location was very good, nice breakfast, friendly reception. We could make use of the kitchen until 21:00 hours. Rooms quite small, but that's always the case in London. Safe place to store the luggage. Bed matresses need replacement though.

Having read dire reviews of this hotel after booking we were dreading what we'd find. Happy to report that our 2 night stay suffered from none of the previous reviewers' issues and I wonder if some of those reviews are well past their sell-by date. Our room had an electronic keylock, no deposit. It was small but clean and relatively... More

We have stayed in St Simeon Hotel with our 2 young children. The Staff is very welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. the location is perfect very close to Gloucester road & Earl's court tube station. The area is a very quiet and residential. We felt really safe. The hotel is a family run business, it is not luxurious... More

I booked this as it was close to the tube on the piccadilly line for ease of access to heathrow. The room was average but clean and the bed comfortable. It felt like i was staying with the russian mafia as the breakfast lady was a little intimidating and the guy on reception was always working out. That being said... More

I stayed there with my daughter and two children and was given a attic room on the 5th floor which was tiny and had a double and 2 single beds squeezed in. The bathroom was dirty and tiny. The carpet and the bed linen was all stained and we had one tiny window in the ceiling. When we went down on the... More

Unfortunately we left our luggage downstairs in the morning so didn't see the room until we came back at midnight otherwise I would have walked straight out again. They made us pay on arrival so we could not get our money back. The room was a single size with a double bed pushed up against the fire place. There was nowhere... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
