You've saved up to take your family to London and thought of a good location to stay and you are faced with this hole - it's like a horror movie... Wilted dusty flowers in the reception, ripped filthy carpets, tiny rooms with smallest bathroom with door that couldn't close shut so you need to be pretty close knit family to... More

Orange juice for breakfast was actually cheap lemonade. Boring breakfast and bad coffee. Our room was very small, and beds extremely hard. Our toilet was crap. No hanger for toilet paper, no hangers for towels, no cups, no way to make tea/coffee. The room and toilet had no aircon thus the bacon smell from the kitchen was apparent all over...

Walls are thin and the plumbing is loud, but we had a great stay. It's not anything luxurious but they have amazing prices for the Kensington area! Very close to lots of restaurants, a tube station, and several museums. I would definitely stay there again.

Basic Room but that's all we wanted for one night.Staff friendly and welcoming. Would prefer tea coffee in room but use of communal kitchen a good idea so no big problem.Choice at breakfast was fantastic ,couldn't fault it especially with all the fruit on offer.Plus a full English if you wanted. Value for money and will use again as so... More

It's probably the only place IN London that the budget-minded can go (were it NOT in South Kensington, it would be over-priced). It is within walking distance of the Underground (Buckingham Place, Baker Street, and Piccadilly Circus are within the local fare zone) and within walking distance of the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Clean, if... More

We stayed at this "hotel" on the weekend, we booked a room for 3 adults which was very small and dated. We were on the ground floor which was so noisy we hardly slept due to doors banging and other guests talking (the walls are paper thin). In the morning we went for breakfast but it was awful, the room... More

This is an economy hotel in a good location close to trains, buses etc. The breakfast in the morning is not economy, it's outstanding! The included breakfast was fast as well as quality. The rooms were small, but adequate and decently clean, but you needed to ask for certain things like soap. Beds were getting old, but overall for the... More

Very economical and friendly hotel , rooms are basic but clean , hospitality was expressed warmly upon arrival and we had access to the kitchen for tea and coffee and unlimited suply of fruit . Breakfast was a little crowded but a lovely experience to meet so many nationalities. I look forward to returning , its very central Hyde park... More

The beds werent too comfy, and the towels will leave you chaffed - but you will leave feeling like you are part of the family! The breakfast was awesome! If you are looking for luxury - this isn't the place for you - but if you are looking for a great budget place to rest for the night in a... More

Cheapest bed on booking site , not clean , not dirty , no wi fi , break fast on plastic plate and very basic but warm and welcome . So over all cheap and not for a lady or couple but ok for a man on tour . Good security and staff ok but very distant .

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
