The hotel is on Gower St amid multiple other small hotels, but distinguishes itself by its comfort. The staff is competent and helpful; the room was comfortable enough, and the cooked-to-order breakfast was a pleasant surprise. A tip from another traveler had alerted us that there was no elevator; if you're elderly or have a lot of luggage, ask for... More

Very nice air conditioned rooms and facilities. Very good breakfast. On busy Gower Street, but rooms are quiet. Excellent location close to British Museum, Bloomsbury shops, pubs, and restaurants. Easy walk to central London - Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, St. Martin in the Fields, Soho, Parliament and other government buildings. Pricey but not uncompetitive with similar properties. No lift for... More

Visited this hotel 2 years ago and returned due my birthday 🎂. Still a great hotel. Had a room that slept 3 which is what we booked. Cooked breakfast which was good, but cereal etc was there as well. We left on the Sunday but left our bags there while we did last minute shopping which was very kind of... More

Spent 7 nights here in the quad room (4 separate beds) with my husband and teenage daughter and son. Room and bathroom were clean, though the mattresses in this room could use replacing (you had to be careful where you laid to avoid a spring in your rib.) But overall we were happy- breakfast is free (option of full English... More

Very comfortable with air conditioning on the hottest night of the year.very acceptable restaurants were just around the corner. One complaint, I warned them I was on crutches but our room was on the fourth floor and no lift! Breakfast was fine with friendly service and the lounge, as advertised, was two sofas in the reception area. However for one... More

Spent one night here after a night out in town. Small room at basement level but everything you could need...room was clean and in decent condition, comfy king sized bed, well located at just a 10 minute easy walk to Covent Garden and a nice cooked breakfast included in the already low price. Can't complain.

I recently stayed at The Staunton Hotel and overall I was very pleased with my decision to stay here, so happy in fact that I felt the need to tell the world on the train journey back up North to Huddersfield. We arrived in to King Cross at 13:30 and hired 'Borris Bikes' to find the hotel. Its not very... More

I wasn't expecting too much from this typical central London town house hotel as they tend to over promise and under deliver on the standard throughout the establishment. However, on this occasion I was pleasantly surprised. The stylish reception was mirrored in the rest of the hotel including the bedroom. Generally, the more stairs you need to climb to get... More

Stayed for one night moving from another similar hotel up the same street. Similar hotels but with different "air". Got a room at the basement which was better than expected (I'm very not enthusiastic about basement lodgings). Large double bed and good clean bathroom with ample space to put your stuff. The shower was one of those fixed on the... More

We needed somewhere to overnight with our adult daughter that was close to RADA. This was perfectly located and they had a room for 3 at a reasonable price. The chap on reception could have been a bit more welcoming when we checked in, but we were soon given our room keys and directed to the third floor. Yes the... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
