My family spent 4 nights at this lovely establishment and will recommend it to any of our family and friends while visiting London. The daily breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from, the front desk staff was helpful, and the rooms were quite charming and impeccably clean. It’s on a charming and quiet block, but a short 5-10 minute walk to many of London’s most popular attractions.

We booked a 2 night stay at the Staunton for £150 per night. After booking we emailed to extend our stay and were quoted £175 for an additional night. When we replied to book this we were told that the price had changed to £287 so we stayed with the original 2 nights. When we arrived the two ladies in reception were eating fast food for lunch at the main desk. Obviously everyone needs a lunch break but it didn't give a very professional first impression as it felt like we were inconveniencing them as they were clearing up around us so we could check in. The person on reception asked to see my ID which I expected, but they also took a copy of it which they didn't actually ask to do. I then paid for the room by card on the card machine and they asked me to confirm the security code on the back of my card which they then wrote down - I was under the impression that this information should not be stored. My name was also not spelled correctly on the payment confirmation I was given. We went to our room and first impressions were good, especially the bathroom which was spacious. There was plenty of tea/coffee and also shower gel/soap in the bathroom plus extras like a shower cap and sewing kit. We were staying in a superior room with a king bed, but this was actually two singles pushed together. This was uncomfortable as we could feel the join between the two beds. Parts of the room were tatty - ripped fabric on the bed, chipped paint, damaged leather chair, staining in the bathroom, black scratches on the toilet bowl and the blind was very poor quality. We also couldn't get the air conditioning to work and when we mentioned this at reception the staff were quite dismissive and said it was probably just the plug. There is a sloping ceiling between the bedroom and bathroom which would be quite easy to bump your head on. There was also quite a loud humming/buzzing noise coming from the room next door at several points (possibly the extractor fan in the bathroom?) which was particularly annoying at night. We were really looking forward to our stay but were disappointed as we expected more, definitely glad we didn't pay almost £300 for the extra night.

The people were great, as was the breakfast. The location was convenient to the train station from which I was leaving the next day and close to restaurants and things to do. Two issues I had: the foot-high step down into the shower and the fact that none of the available outlets was convenient for plugging in and working on my laptop at the same time.

Can't say enough about this lovely boutique hotel. It's central to everything. We walked to Covent Gardens Trafalgar Square, Hyde and Kensington Parks. Our room was small but comfortable with a very modern bathroom with rain shower. Michael and Emanuel on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. A full breakfast was included every morning and was very good. There are a number of restaurants and pubs just around the corner and the subway a short walk. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights in August as a family and had room 103 which had one king bed and one twin bed not a cot. Bathroom was decent size room is air-conditioned, which was great in the summer. Breakfast was down in the basement for breakfast was available as well as omelettes and a variety of continental items like pastries and fruit. Location was great one block from bus stops. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby for quick items. Highly recommend would stay again.

This hotel was in a fantastic location, we could walk from Euston St and still a short walk away to Covent Garden. The Hotel was spotless throughout and staff were all so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with hot food cooked to order. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely return.

Overall: great location, super clean, spacious, quiet hotel. Good value for money. We had room 403, a superior double on the top floor at the back of the house. Three flights of stairs to get to room. View of rooftops. Standard of decor high, all looks fresh and very clean. Iron, air con, TV in room. Fruit and wine. Two single beds pushed together. Very quiet overnight, no street noise. Things that could have been better: biscuits and higher quality tea and coffee, fresh milk in room. Choice of pillows. Standard of toiletries. Shower pressure. Breakfast was as advertised. Quality of ingredients not exciting. No cold meat as expected. Filter.coffee not hot enough and bitter. It was fine but not wonderful. Staff efficient and polite.

This is located in an excellent area and seems fairly well maintained/ kept up. I booked rather late and was fortunate enough to get a room but their last rooms was below street level. Thus no view but there was a windows that looked out into a below street level outlet that had devises perhaps for heating or some such..but such did provide some added daylight through the window but generally wish it was better lighted. The breakfast is also on the same level but there is a double door, which truly prevents breakfast noises from being heard so that is not an issue (did for a bit hear people walking on floor above..but not too loud nor much)...re breakfast room, one just pretty much crosses the hallway from room to one of the breakfast room entries. The breakfast is standard, either Full English Breakfast or Omelet or other choices. The bathroom, albeit small, is very nice and modern in a cool sense. When I first checked in, the lady was very efficient but I would have appreciated a bit more warmth in the welcome...the rest of the staff whom I encountered later in the front room were more personable, of which I appreciated. It is a nice small black brickstone hotel in a great location and a very fine choice.
