Stayed for 5 nights. Location is excellent both for walking, tube and buses. Store Street just around the corner has some excellent restaurants / cafes. Room had everything we required and was spotless. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Hotel was far too hot for us. Breakfast was chaotic so I'd recommend going to a Store Street cafe instead. The... More

This small hotel is a nice conversion of two 4 story Georgian town houses with large airy rooms on basement, ground and 3 upper floors. There is no lift so any one with difficulty climbing stairs should ask for the lower floors. Breakfast is included and is taken in a nice room on basement level. All the staff are extremely... More

Good location for those who prefer to visit central London by foot. Or 2 subway stations nearby. Not far from Charlotte st with all its restaurants. I stayed in this hotel several times and was never unsatisfied with my room. I love the way they serve breakfast, with attention and care!

We visited the Staunton in late August 2013. Unfortunately, we were only in London for the night on our way to Eastern Europe, but we had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The Staunton is located very close to the British Museum in a quieter part of town that is really pretty central considering how... More

I went to London for a little bit of business, and a little bit of pleasure. The Staunton was in the perfect place for both. I found an awesome Greek restaurant right around the corner, the location was perfect and within walking distance of three tube stops, and the friendly family owned atmosphere was welcoming yet extremely efficient. I don't... More

The hotel is within easy walking distance of central London and can be reached from a number of different tube stops (Euston Sq, Goodge or closet is Russell St). It is an old town house (maybe two) and has compact, clean rooms with lovely ensuite bathrooms. There was an ac unit and this helped for a comfortable night when it... More

Staff was really friendly.Perfect for walking distance to shopping and all main areas and if you didn't want to go to far there were lots of pubs and places to eat just a stone throw away . The room was really nice. The breakfast was nice. Will Definitely be staying there again
