Stayed here for 2 nights, location is great 2 minute walk from Paddington station, near some bars & restaurants & still quiet at night. Room was very small but bedding was clean & beds comfortable. The bathroom cleanliness was ok but the shower was useless. Breakfast was very basic. Reception staff were polite & helpful. Do not have great expectations... More

The room we were given was a basement room, just below the front door, unfortunately where the smokers stand so room gets the smell if the window is open, also it opens right onto the dining room, so the staff coming in the morning will wake you, and as this is a Quad room, so usually a room accommodating families... Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Do not stay here. Unclean, shabby, and the bathroom was horrendous. It is nothing like it shows in the pictures. I expected it to be basic for the price - but the state of the rooms and communal areas is appalling. There is no excuse for unclean rooms.

Met up with grown up kids ~(29 and 26) for a weekend. We needed a budget hotel as we knew the weekend would be expensive so we booked the Alexandra staying in a quad room.(Ok not very romantic for me and hubby) but great value. Our room was in the basement, with 4 single beds and a shower room. Yes... More

The hotel was walking distance from the Paddington Station. Well, i made the booking through Dnata Travels which is a UAE based company. This is a budget hotel i would say and is located right at the heart of Paddington, walking distance to restaurants, pubs and small grocery shops which came in handy during my 2 night stay at this... Arrived at the hotel and greeted by very friendly receptionist. We arrived very early so room was not ready, however the receptionist said we can leave our luggage with them so we can do what we wanted to do. They also gave us a time when the room would be ready. Arrived back after sightseeing and the receptionist instantly recognised... More

A nice hotel. Compared to hotels in other European cities it's pricy of course but for London it's a good option. I've tried many hotels in this area and so far Alexandra is the best. The standard isn't high but considering the price and location it's more than acceptable.

We stayed in this hotel as a group of 3 and knew what we were getting into before we booked. What appealed was the price and location and they didn't disappoint. We had a cheap night in a central location in London, it was obviously not going to be luxury! The room itself was absolutely fine, people who are complaining... More

Used this hotel for an overnight stay whilst going to see Blur at Hyde Park. It was a bed and if it had not been for the copious amounts of alcohol consumed on the day of staying I doubt Id have slept. That aside it was all an efficient process of checking in and out but I doubt Id stay... More
