When we arrived we were greeted with a grunt and mumble to come back in an hour. Even though we had booked 8 months earlier we were sent across the street to the overflow hotel. The hallways were filled with wet towels in the corners and garbage was stacked in the entrance . When I went back to the main... More

On arrival at the Hotel we knew we had booked a budget hotel but didn't think it would be worse than staying in a hostel. The receptionist was rude to my partner as we checked in, this was due to my partner asking for a moment to find the correct paperwork. Then when we arrived to the room after climb... More

Stayed in the Alexandra hotel this weekend for 1 night as I was going to a gig in Hyde Park. The location was great for the gig but please note there are loads of alternative accommodations in the same area. Arrived early after a very early flight from Scotland. The gig started at 1:30pm so we were looking forward to... More

I was stranded in London due to travel problems and was pointed in the general direction around Sussex Street. I probably tried dozens of hotels by computer, walking in to lobbies and asking around. I could not find a vacancy anywhere. Finally I walked into a hotel around the corner from the Alexandra. Yes they had a room in their... More

Some people on here baffle me. This hotel is absolutely fine and you get exactly what you pay for - have no worries if you chose to say here, it's a budget hotel that provides everything you would need - I thought it was a bargain considering the wonderful location of the hotel...it is so central to everything you would... This is a standard hotel, worth 2 stars at the most. So dont expect any luxuries or special treatments. The rooms are really small and very old. We've stayed there 6 nights in room 215, the matress is so old that when sleeping you roll over to the middle of the bed which we found very uncomfortable. They didnt seem... More

Ok, the hotel has a great advantage that is the location, centrally located and close to a train station. But in my opinion, the price its not worth. The bathroom in my room had a crust of fungus on the wall, which means that it was poorly cleaned. Besides that, the runoff in the shower wasn't work, and it takes... More

Wow! What can I say. Arrived to be greeted at the door by the manager who carried our bags and gave us each a key that Ian Botham would be proud of. Upon entering the room a dance troupe was waiting for us and performed a routine to the sound of 'When the saints go marching in!" - We stayed... More

The room smelled like dirt mixed with chemicals. The carpet had so much dust like it was never vacuumed. The shower had black stains. We talked to the receptionist and he was rude. He laughed. Of course we canceled the reservation. This place needs to be checked asap for the hygiene by professionals.

I arrived at the hotel after a tiresome journey to be kept waiting while the receptionist found my booking. Finally, when he found it, I discovered that my room was located in another building and I was told they I needed to walk up the road to book in. When I got to the other building (About 200 yards away)... More
