I was in London for a conference and stayed here for 4 nights (May 2012).; The hotel is very convenient to Pimlico tube station (5 min walk) and Victoria rail station (10-15 min walk). The room was very clean, but definitely small. If you need to get work done in your room, avoid this hotel as there is only a... More

The Melbourne House Hotel is a very good option as central London hotels are so ridiculously expensive. It was well located, very clean, excellent shower, comfortable bed, nice view (I was on the top floor and could see London Eye, Gherkin, etc.). As other reviewers say, the owner is very nice - many thanks for carrying my bag up all... More

I needed a base for my Easter break whilst visiting my son and the location was ideal as I was arriving at Victoria coach station. I had read previous reviews and packed accordingly to find that the hotel has been refurbished and I didn't need most of my extras. I did take my own pillow but I am sure that... More

Pretty good price and location considering you are in London, we looked and looked and everything else we looked at was crazy expensive. Rooms are clean. Bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast was included. It was continental but it was certainly sufficient, with a selection of ham, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit. I would stay again. More

Having stayed in the family room at this hotel for 3 nights we were very impressed with the friendly service, very clean accomodation and facilities. All the staff were a credit to the hotel owner, very polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was in a great location close to Victoria station and Pimlico tube and... More

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in November. Me and my mum were looking to do some Christmas shopping so central accommodation was crucial. The hotel is situated off Buckingham Palace Road - a 15minute walk to the palace, it is a lovely area of London. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and 2 tube stations... More

As others have written, there is no lift and it can be a bit of a hike if your room is on the higher floors but given this is reported in many reviews I do not see this as a point to complain. The location is excellent, 5 mins from Pimlico tube station and a few minutes from bars, restaurants,... More

I spent 2 nights in this very conveniently located hotel. The reception was very pleasant and after carrying the luggage to the 3rd floor I found myself in a relatively small but spotless and reasonably comfortable room. This was the first time that a supposedly 3-star hotel in an English city lived up to the expectation. The beds were comfortable,... More

I stayed for four nights last week, working in London, so staying in hotels a lot. Room was on the third floor and (as is common for this type of building), there are no lifts. With high ceilings it means you have quite a hike to your room. My room (No. 14) door didn't fit in the frame terribly well,... More
