Made a return visit to the Lynton Hotel for a two night stay this week. Bed and breakfast at a really great rate not to mention a five minute stroll from Victoria Station and two of my favourite London restaurants, Ken Lo's and Boisdales. The owner is very welcoming, breakfast is tasty and the outside terrace is ideal to kick... More

We just left after staying two days with our kids (this was their first time overseas). The place was vey nice and we all slept very well. We knew both the bathroom and bedroom we're going to be smaller so we were well prepared. The breakfast was very nice too! Mark was very helpful, friendly and always very happy! He... More

If you need a place to stay in central London and you don't want to pay the extortionate rates that the big chains charge (I paid £170 / night three weeks prior to finding The Lynton), give these guys a try. The rates were around half of the amount I had paid previously. The room wasn't big, but it was... More

The Lynton Hotel, near Victoria Station Victoria Station is large, complex and very busy with trains, buses, and the underground. But it also has several shops and places to eat in an upstairs area that has been brightly modernized. Thus convenient. The Lynton is about two-three blocks from Victoria Station and is run by two brothers, Mark and Simon. I... More

I have stayed in the Lynton on a number of occassions and will reiterate what many reviewers have said. Yes it's a bit ramshackle and yes the rooms are small and there are a lot of stairs BUT, and it's a big but, for this area of London for the money it is excellent. The hotel is situated on Ebury... I stayed one night with me wife, since my first visit in the summer of 2013. I will remember both visits as an example of excellent hospitality of the innkeeper Mark. He is always friendly and helpfull where ever he can. My wife forgot her cellphone at the room. Mark called my number while we drove to Heathrow. He sent... More

This is a great place to stay if you are wanting the BEST location in London. Walking distance to almost everything the tourist wants. The Breakfast is great, and Mark and Simon are a pleasure to be around. We've stayed here many times and are never disappointed. We will continue to stay here as long as we are visiting London.

We stayed 5 nights at The Lynton Hotel. We traveled from the United Sates and spent 16 days in the UK and Ireland. We stayed in the room on the first floor, with window facing the street. We slept with our window open every night and were never bothered with any noise. There was construction going a few doors down,... More

i stayed for two nights in a double room for one person. As stated in the blurb re the hotel the bathroom was very small, but the shower worked and that was good enough for me. Whoever reviewed this hotel and said it was quiet didn't stay on a Sunday and Monday night, because the yard at the back appeared... More

Sorry to the guest concerned that they did not sleep well due to the mattress not being suitable .I would like to state that it is very difficult to choose a mattress for multiple use .You have to select a mattress that will be appropriate to the majority of people .We feel since we do not receive many complaints about... I was staying at the Sloane Club as a guest of a member and while it was lovely, my budget did not allow me to stay there for my entire time in London. Ebury Street was recommended to me and I found the Lynton online. I began emailing The proprietors, Mark and Simon and booked two nights. They kindly gave... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
