Treated my girlfriend to a weekend in London for her birthday. Good value for money. Room was medium sized but we didn't need a large room as weren't in the hotel during the day/evening. Bathroom clean and bed really comfy. Staff very friendly and hotel is very quiet. Staff don't bother you - only friendly if you approach them. Hotel... More

Stayed here for 5 nights during my solo trip to London. The biggest advantage of the hotel is the location, with the tube station being a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, it was not a problem since there are lots of options to eat in the area. The rooms are really small,... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Jade at the the beginning of Feb 2015. The hotel was reasonably priced and we were pleased wiht the location. it is a good base to get around London On first impressions I was pleased with the hotel, it seemed very clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. We were on the... More

The Jade HAS AMAZING hotel rooms! Got to tell you what my circumstances were: I cancelled my 2-nights stay at easyHotel, and with my girlfriend, I was totally frustrated & without any hope to find a great budget hotel in London. Then I found The Jade. At first, I thought this "B&B" hotel would provide (free) breakfast, which was my... More

We visited London during the Easter weekend and stayed at The Jade due to the location and easy access to South Kensington and a minutes walk to the Underground. Having just come back from Paris we found this excellent value for money, The staff were very pleasant and took us and our bags to the room. It was a very... More

Stayed two nights recently. Location is great. Close to Kensington, Museums, Royal Albert Hall Number of restaurants and shops close by I should have re-read Tripadvisor before arriving. I got room LG6, lower ground. The room was small, clean, and nice. But LG rooms are Basement rooms. The Underground literally runs behind this building. Basement hear and feel the train... More

I stayed at The Jade for 8 days for my solo trip to London. Pros: 1 minute walk from the Tube, very clean room, good customer service and kitchenette Cons: Small room. It didn't really bother me, but I just want to caution: I stayed in a double...There's no way 2 people can share that room. WiFi. The signal was... More

I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The room was clean, and even though the elevator didn't work while I was there, the extremely nice receptionist offered to carry my luggage up to my room. Great service! The hotel is located near Earl's Court underground station, which makes it easy to get wherever you want to go... More

This hotel is in a great location near Earls Court Station, with easy access around London. There are plenty of shops, bars restaurants nearby. The rooms themselves are small but have everything you need an added extra is the small kitchenette, bedding and towels changed everyday and free Wifi. The lift was not working while we were there but we... More

I stayed at The Jade as the start of a solo Europe trip and was very pleased. The hotel is like a converted townhouse so it feels smaller and more personable. Rooms are the typical London Size so are cosy but they are cleverly designed to maximise the space - I never felt cramped. The staff were friendly and helpful... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
