This is a lovely place but I was very offended by the loyalty to British people! This restaurant advertised an "English breakfast " but this consists of chicken sausages and turkey bacon???? They cater for Malaysians etc but don't feel the need to accommodate a British palette?? Come on this is the capital of England!!!! Don't be racist again our... More

the location is great and the room space and kitchen are awesome but still it isnt a 4 star hotel, the staff are care-less and the bathroom doesnt look good or clean enough however there is alot of bus stations and under ground stations and its a few minutes walk from the Hyde park.

The Grand Plaza is located some 5 mins from Bayswater in a residential street so it's located quite near the center and still not very noisy at night Westbourne Grove street not far away either which has plenty of shopping and dinner place. The apartment I found surprisingly large by London standards. It's nicely furnished and clean. I've stayed only... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in January 2015. The location of this hotel is fantastic and close to the underground with heaps of shops, restaraunts and pubs near by. When we first arrived to the hotel our room wasn't ready so we had to kill a few hours so we could check in. I wish we knew what our... More

We were there for a 10 day stay over new year 2015.Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The layout was a bit chaotic, but the room was nice and well appointed, but not luxurious. We saved a lot of money by having the small kitchen to make our own breakfast. The laundry service washed, dried and folded two... More

If your priority is location, this is for you! Closest tube station is Bayswater, which is a couple minutes walk! The shopping strip has tonnes of restaurants and souvenir shops! Perfect for tourists and grocery shops are walkable! The bus stop is just down the road. There's also a Big Bus station nearby, which is perfect for sight seeing. The... More

I stayed her with my family in the new year of 2015. We we're surprised when we had to pay the full amount at check-in, but I now know why. Our '1 bedroom apartment' was described as an apartment with a lounge, kitchen and dining area with a separate bedroom and bathroom. It was far from it. It was the... More

The location is great, but the hotel is average. Our 4 share room was tiny and smelt horrible. We were there in November and despite the cold had to leave the windows open due to the smell. The train and shops are very close by which was great. The location was definitely the best thing about this hotel.

Stayed here for 8 nights over the xmas period of 2014. Justified the 4 star rating? Read on below. Post check in, pleasantly suprised to get a baby cot, non smoking & high floor unit. Although i think that all the units prohibited smoking. Please enlighten me if you know. The rooms were a bit far from the lift though.... More

I checked in on Dec 6,2014 & checked out on Dec 23,2014. I had my Nasi Lemak (Malaysian food) for breakfast, and it tasted so good. They served halal breakfast & the laundry service was extremely excellent, I sent my clothes at 9am and get done at 4pm on the same day. The hotel is conveniently near to Bayswater &... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
