It's tough to endure a stuffy room with a single window on a London Summer night. Staff are detached and not exactly friendly or particularly helpful though they will try and do the needful. Lots of accommodation choices if you want to stay in this generally convenient Bayswater area. As for this property, I won't be be back.

We stayed here for a girls break to see a show and to see the harry potter studios we had booked for a 3 person apartment. Our room was in the basement which we go no signal, and the living room/kitchen second room was all complied into one. Which wasn't spaciious and we felt like we were walking on top... More

I stayed here last month with my 2 siblings for 10 nights. The first 8 nights, we had a room on the 4th floor because we requested for a room on the upper floors. The last two nights, we requested and were immediately given a room on the first floor. The property is located just a few steps from Queensway,... More

I visited with a fairly large group for 14 days. I enjoyed my stay. Hotel employees where friendly , helpful and courteous. The location was excellent, I could not ask for a better location. The location made it possible for us to visit many tourist attractions by walking, or using the train or bus. We where able to cut down... More

Six of us stayed here for a night and it was great. The bathroom was modern and looked new. The apartment itself looked very well kept, clean and refurbished. No complaints at all. Location is ideal too as it is very close to Bayswater tube line. There are several supermarkets close by and whitely's shopping centre is a few minute... More

Stayed in end June for 6 nights. We were 2 families. My family got a two bedroom apartment on the 5th floor which was superb. Fully air conditioned and comfortable. Not luxurious but modern. Bathrooms were good. There was very little cupboard space so we had to keep some of our clothes in the bags. The other family got a... More

Do not trust the pictures, or the room definitions for this hotel. Find somewhere else. We were very excited leading up to our stay at this hotel. Pictures looked great, the hotel was in a good location, and we elected to pay a higher price, expecting higher quality. All elements disappointed us. We travelled as a family of four and... More

We stayed for one night with my husband and his 13year old son. We had apartment with 2 rooms - bedroom with bathroom and living room with sofa bed and kitchenette. Bathroom was tiny, but everything was clean and free toiletries. I did't like that the bathroom entrance was from bedroom not from corridor. Kitchenette was fully equipped and nice.... More

I stayed for 6 days in June in a 2 bedroom apartment each with its own bathroom.Lovely, spotless rooms with modern bathroom. A generous breakfast tray was brought to the room each morning. The Reception desk staff tends to be more matter of fact than friendly. It is centrally located, close to 2 tube stations and a short walk from... More

I stayed at Grand Plaza with my parents when they came to the UK to attend my graduation ceremony. I booked a triple executive apartment and was not pleased with what I got. The approach to the entrance was through a really narrow corridor. Once inside, the main bedroom had this constant irritating smell. The views from the windows were... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
