Stayed here with my husband as a gift. The roof terrace room was so nice. Lovely decor and spotless. The staff were so very helpful especially at breakfast. Location is great just a 5 minute walk to tower bridge. We will be back.

Took our son down for his 12th Birthday (12th - 14th December) he had never been to London before and was going to watch Arsenal so on booking flights from EasyJet their hotel link took us to the Chamberlain so went ahead and booked blindsided without reading any reviews. After x amount off time after booking we got a 2nd... More

Big pub, good for big groups. E.g Christmas Drinks Standard selection of drinks. Not too expensive considering location. Didn't have a chance to try the food but bar snacks were decent. Would visit again if I was in the area...............

This place is a hotel bar, but looks much like a regular pub. It has a small bar, but the room itself is quite spread out with plenty of assorted sized & shaped tables. Comfortable upholstered seating. I ordered the 'Romsey smoked bacon chop' @ £12, consisting of one smokey chop, black pudding, fried egg, sweet potato chips, & apple... More

We were lucky enough to win tickets to a nearby charity gala and decided to book a hotel so that we didn't have to worry about trains etc. Searching on booking.com we found a deal at this hotel for £99. I travel a lot with work and stay in lots of hotels, including central London. When we arrived I was... More

Business trip in a business district. Not exactly sure how much the room cost but it won't have been cheap. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly enough. Had no issues during my stay. Room at the rear was free from noise. Bar a bit bright and workmanlike for my taste. Poor choice of TV Channels.... More

I really had a hard time reviewing this hotel. On the one hand it is a charming small hotel, much more cozy and intimate than your typical big hotel chain and i really liked it and wanted to like it more than i ultimately did as the flaws forced me to give it 3 and not 4 stars. The rooms... More

I think 2.5 is fair- 3 is probably pushing it. A new Premier Inn would compete in terms of luxury. In a couple of years, this hotel will simply not get away with charging £200+ per night unless serious investment is made. Pros: Location, location, location! 5mins from Tower Hill tube and the DLR- great if you're heading to the... More

I am just back from a weekend in London and spent 3 nights in the Chamberlain Hotel. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor. We went to the bar Saturday night and while having a quiet drink a mouse ran across the floor ! We left the bar immediately and informed the night porter, who did not seem... More

Just returned from a two night stay at the Chamberlain. We stayed in room 312, which had just been refurbished. Very comfortable room, well appointed and an excellent bed. Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
