I really had a hard time reviewing this hotel. On the one hand it is a charming small hotel, much more cozy and intimate than your typical big hotel chain and i really liked it and wanted to like it more than i ultimately did as the flaws forced me to give it 3 and not 4 stars. The rooms... More

I think 2.5 is fair- 3 is probably pushing it. A new Premier Inn would compete in terms of luxury. In a couple of years, this hotel will simply not get away with charging £200+ per night unless serious investment is made. Pros: Location, location, location! 5mins from Tower Hill tube and the DLR- great if you're heading to the... More

I am just back from a weekend in London and spent 3 nights in the Chamberlain Hotel. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor. We went to the bar Saturday night and while having a quiet drink a mouse ran across the floor ! We left the bar immediately and informed the night porter, who did not seem... More

Just returned from a two night stay at the Chamberlain. We stayed in room 312, which had just been refurbished. Very comfortable room, well appointed and an excellent bed. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a selection of cold and hot options. We had planned to eat in the restaurant on Sunday evening but... More

We booked in here as it is convenient for the Tower of London & the Poppies. This is a once quite palatial hotel now sadly well worn however, immaculately clean with very helpful & friendly staff. Value for money-wise we had absolutely no complaints ( even though the separate shower in our room wouldn't get hot) given the location and... More

Booked this hotel through hotels.com a few months ago, as we were going to a concert at the 02 and thought we'd make a night of it - and what a lovely hotel! Once we finally arrived there (there were lots of works on the tube that day) we were exhausted and were happy to drop off our bags. There... More

This hotel is tucked away around the back of Tower hill but only a 5 minute walk to Aldgate tube & Tower Hill tube and the DLR at the end of the street (from london City Airport). The rooms are a decent size with the hotel being owned by Fullers a decent real ale is also available. I stay here... More

We stayed there October 22, 2014 and booked through www.booking.com. Immediately I received an email from them informing me that they would have a baby cot for me. That was very nice has I did not request one just stated we we're traveling with a baby in booking information. They were easy to get a hold via email which is... More

Chose this hotel for the close proximity to see the Poppies at the Tower of London for an overnight stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The reception area looked tired and dated with worn carpets and dark decor, however on opening our bedroom door what a lovely surprise!! Everything was clean and modern, big fluffy bath towels and bath... More

Stayed here bank holiday weekend in August with my daughter. We were doing the touristy highlights of London as she is embarrassed that she knows Tokyo and Hiroshima better than London. The location was great for Tower Bridge and the Tower of London as well as being close to a tube station. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful.... More
