We stayed for one night while we attended a wedding in London. We were really pleasantly surprised to be upgraded. The first disappointing thing was the main lift wasn't working so we used the goods lift which was smelly and quite frankly dirty especially when you looked up. The room was nice and recently renovated. It was a good size... More

The Chamberlain is a small hotel at the border of the City of London and very close to landmarks like the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. It's very conveniently located for travel arriving at London City Aiport. The hotel in general is in a fairly good condition and properly looked after. Staff is friendly throughout. However, there were... More

First of all I want to say I'm a restaurant/pub guest so I can't say anything about the rooms. I've been here quite often during the last 4 months and the food was always lovely, so tasty and mouth watering that you thought there were really someone special in the kitchen, of course not a 4 star hotels level chef,... We stayed at the Chamberlain during our visit to London. Great hotel staff and walking distance to the Tower of London. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had for transportation and sight seeing ideas.

This hotel is a classic hotel with a great location. The staff is helpful and cheerful. The hotel is close to the London Wall and Liverpool Street Station. There is a typical pub in the hotel which offers great ale and food. The single room I had was spacious. The bathroom was well-equipped with high grade toiletries. Coffee/tea making kit... More

Not as good as a few Comments wrote previously. The room was okay(except a strange smell and receptionist' rude answer when we asked for a extra towel), but almost everything else in the 3 star level or under. A 4-star hotel ought to hold fine dining or gastro pub, but only poor pub food in here. The soup is almost... More

The Chamberlain was our base of operations in London, in a strategic position very close to the Tower Hill. Being in the City, this area is very quite during the weekend, but with the Aldgate tube you go everywhere in 15 mins, being in the Circle line (yellow) it reached directly some main attractions with no changes. The hotel is... More

I have stayed at the Chamberlain several times and always found it to be a relaxing break. I recently stayed last week and got great service in the bar. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I was very surprised to also find out that over the last week they have had almost half of their bar staff off... More

Sat here waiting as I have been for the past twenty minutes. I only ordered a salmon starter and a seafood linguine. Starter shows very nice! Main course tastyish, but used frozen seafood I think. Parmesan made a big difference. Food was fine but I would not rush here
