Location: it's central near Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye,.. but 10 min walking to any were for food, subway, etc Very friendly staff , specially at Breakfast, That is also very nice :) Reception Team, efficient, but I had a problem with my booking, with room types, that should be connecting rooms due to my big young family, even calling... This is our second visit to Hilton Doubletree and enjoyed it even more this time, easy walking distance to many of the central attractions, and only 5 minutes walk to either Pimlico or Westminster tube station. Nice size room and the included breakfast was excellent with enough choices for even the more fussy individual all served in comfortable surroundings. But... More

We stayed for one night, a flying visit. We found the staff very welcoming and it was nice to be handed cookies on arrival. A simple gesture but something that makes you feel valued. I had a little issue with the Mac/TV not starting up the first few times, but didn't see this as an issue at all. I would... More

Briitish museum 2 blocks away. Costa, Starbucks, Cafe Nero all within the same block. Everything close by. Full English breakfast and buffet included in the room charge. It is more than enough for the morning start. The hotel coffee is the worst thing about the breakfast (so....see comment on coffee shops nearby). The 'deluxe' room was more than adequate size,... Stayed here for four nights on business and found this to be a very nice hotel. Very well located and not too big or impersonal. All the communal areas are clean and tidy and the bar is much improved after a recent renovation. The rooms are of a good size, though the en-suite shower room was a little on the... More

We had a lovely week in London. This Hilton hotel made that quite easy. We managed to stay there for under 100 EUR per day for 10 days via hotels.com and a voucher coupon. The room was very spacious, beds very comfortable and the room included a MAC / TV which was fun. We did not take the breakfast as... More

The area was quiet with few places to eat close to the hotel. The reception was large and spotless and the staff were efficient and welcoming and quick. The warm cookies were a nice touch. The executive room was spacious, the Apple Mac was excellent, the bed firm and comfortable, the bathroom snug, not much room if you are over... More

Slightly Tucked behind a well known building at Millbank Westminster, is the delightful hotel by Doubletree by Hilton. I have now stayed here 3 times and each time I grow to like it more than the previous. The staff are delightfully friendly, without being over bearing! The location is excellent! Just along from the Houses of Parliament, within minutes you're... More

My company booked me in here and being a Hilton member i was expecting something good. I was booked in by a friendly receptionist and given a chocolate cookie for some reason. i was told that my room had a Mac computer in it, plus free access to the internet. We stayed just for 1 night on a Saturday while visiting London for theatre and other touristy things. This was a great location close to Victoria station and the venues we were visiting. Also close to other sightseeing venues within easy walking distance. On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly smiley girl who presented us with warm chocolate... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
