Clean, quiet location with helpful staff at a reasonable price. Location is a bit out of the way for public transport save for the bus route. The is a nearby stop for the original tour, a london hop-on hop-off tour which we used and enjoyed. Free wi-fi and personal Mac computer in our room was used and appreciated.

The hotel is lovely. We had a wonderfully warm welcome from reception and every where is very clean. Our room was a double queen executive on the 11th floor. We had expected the room to be larger as it was an 'accessible' room but we found it rather small. I believe a wheelchair user might struggle to access far side... More

Staff were friendly and helpful, room quiet and clean, enjoyed the little touch of the cookie on arrival and the free wi-fi with the mac. Very good stay. Only one small thing - terrible coffee at breakfast!

The Doubletree is just a little off the beaten path, but close enough to walk to the British Tate Museum, Some good pubs within a couple of blocks and is a block from the River Thames. My walking ability is slow and limited, but there were cabs ready and waiting. The check-in was fairly easy. The desk clerk was a... More

The hotel it self was very good. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are standard rooms. We ordered 2 rooms for 4 people and every room had a MAC computer. The only problem we had with the computer was that the mouse didn't work very good cause the surface of the table was just too slippery. We asked if we... More

Located right between two tube stations (pimlico and Westminster), this hotel features uniformly small rooms with free wifi that is not reliable at all times (connection keeps breaking up). Housekeeping service is inconsistent (with or without tipping I have observed) - the shampoo and conditioner are replaced half the time only, and when they are replaced, can come in differing... A comfy clean hotel situate not far from Westminster and close to the Houses of Parliament and Victoria Station. Nice welcome, room of a very good size and good selection for breakfast. Ideal for business or pleasure.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise a place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
