The staff were welcoming and cheerful- and our room was ready early. It is a rambling warren of a place- and not easy to negotiate a suitcase along the narrow corridors. The room was very small - but functional and very clean with crisp sheets and soft towels - and nothing else- no toiletries, for example. However, as a place... More

The quality of this hotel has taken a nosedive over the past few weeks and we know why. Most recently, we stayed there for 4 nights but wanted to leave by the second. We had a ground room that was incredibly noisy and after our feedback, were moved to a room on the 3rd level. It was about 5 flights... More

The location of this hotel is great but that is about it. Tiny twin bed room with absolutely NO character. One thin towel per person. I could not get an additional pillow for the bed. I was told they were "sold out" so I couldn't get an additional pillow as they take them from empty rooms. How sad is that.... More

From the outside this place looks lovely but when we got inside we changed our minds. To be fair i got a discounted rate from booking.com so we only paid £55 which is a tiny amount for a night in London, but even at that price i wouldn't stay there again. The guy on reception was possibly the most miserable... More

The hotel did the job for a short stay in London; we were not often in the hotel room and therefore a basic hotel was fine for us, (especially for the price and with breakfast included.) The food for breakfast was okay and the service was fine. The location of the hotel is perfect; just over the road from Kings... More

As I booked a room with a shared bathroom for my boyfriend & myself, I was pleasantly surprised to discover we actually had our own sink and shower included in the room, with just a shared toilet, which was very clean. Our bedroom was not huge but appeared spotless upon arrival with comfy bedding and fresh sheets. Although the shower... More

Budget hotel, excellent location-just 2minutes walk from kings cross st. Pancras station. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast ok-not a lot of choice. Luggage room was useful as we checked out at 11 and came back at 6 for our case before travelling home. Rooms were clean but quite small. Only booked a room with shared bathroom so was suprised to... Normally any accommodation in central London at the budget end is bound to be horrible, however this place was in some ways better than expected. We only chose this place because of it's proximity to St Pancras and the 6:18 eurostar so stayed only a few hours in a double room with shared toilet and shower. Room was at the... More

Friendly staff, room small but clean, comfortable bed, generous cooked breakfast. Located a short walk from St. Pancras/Kings Cross train and underground (on a pleasant green square), so very easy to get to from airport. Some stairs to cope with, so not so good for disabled travellers. Walking distance from British Museum and British Library. Would certainly book there again.

This is a small hotel squeezed into an old English house. Left and right are more of similar hotels all around Argyle Square. The house itself is like a labyrinth, not easy to find my tiny room on top of one of the several stair cases. I stayed in hostels, budget hotels and motels, but this was the smallest room... More
