I am only five foot seven around, but I found the bed being too short for good, the wardrobe was simply too high - you would need a ladder to hang stuff up, the room pretty tiny with free wifi that worked in the breakfast room only, The sleep quality was lousy with a sleep in a draught had I... I recently spent two nights in a single room at Montana Excel. I stayed at the hotel as a group of us were travelling to England to attend a wedding and had a day and a half to spend in London before leaving the city. The hotel served as a base while we orientated ourselves to the Kings cross area... More

Stayed here for 1 night as was sightseeing and theatre. Location was great as right near St Pancras and kings cross so very easy to get too. Breakfast was included which was good as was a full English. Would I go back?! Probs not. Rooms were clean but bed was uncomfortable and I hardly slept.

I am surprised that there is a person reported that found the staff friendly; ??? I found them arrogant and mocking. Wi-Fi works only in the basement at breakfast area and that sometimes not all the time. When I asked the receptionists about the problem with Wi-Fi, she claimed that I had problematic tablet.!!!! The room was tiny and we... More

Nice clean Hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff. We never got back to the hotel before 8 pm. We really only used the hotel for sleeping, showering, and breakfast. Breakfast was good. 7 pounds for the full English. On the Blue line of the Big Bus so easy to get to. Taxi from the centre to hotel cost 10 pounds.

We booked this hotel because of location. Very close to Kings Cross station which was also Piccadilly line from Heathrow and only a few stops into central London. Also was just a short walk to Euston station for trains North. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room is what we expected for the price which was treated as a base for... More

We booked this hotel due to location and price but this was a very poor hotel. The room was clean but the breakfast was the worst I have ever tasted cold. Bacon was rock hard and the toast was just cold bread. I did say to the reception but they did not say much about it. The room was very... More

Great location, close to King's Cross station for onward travel to the rest of London and beyond. Great price, hotel very basic but for the price paid can't complain, main thing was room was clean. Breakfast room can get very crowded at peak times but if you are in a hurry and can't wait there are plenty of other options... More

If I had it to do over again, I'd definitely have picked a different place. The shower was not clean, the shared toilets (one per floor) were not suitable, and I felt unsafe on the steep and slippery stairs. That said, the staff were friendly, the view was lovely, and you can't beat the location. I was also kind of... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
