My father and I in May 2011 for the Chelsea Flower show, and the hotel location was good. The service was excellent although we did have to queue for breakfast. The cleanliness was good and the staff was courteous and friendly. What more do you want for a short stay?

Being forced to live in a hotel temporarily while searching for a flat in London, I booked a room in this hotel and it ended up being a BIG MISTAKE. The room was not clean and smelly, and on top of that, very humid. The Blanket on the bed was dirty. During the night, water fell from the ceiling! The... More

Thank you ‘CR63’ for reviewing the Elizabeth House B&B. I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay in the hotel. We bought the Elizabeth House 4 weeks ago and have since closed it down for a major refurbishment which should be completed spring/summer 2013. More

I have booked this hotel via budgetplaces, and there it is named Elizabeth House Hotel. It is definitely not a hotel and the whole place is pretty much run down. The people at reception and the kitchen were friendly. The bathrooms are never in the room, but on the opposite side of the hall.

I booked this hotel before i had read the reviews, i wouldn't have touched the place had i done so before, but decided not to cancel as I've read quite a few negative reviews before and always been pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately all the reviews about the cleanliness were spot on it was disgusting, it was such a shame as i... More

Yes i agree the the price is good for the area, but i would never EVER stay here again. First day we arrived they said we had no reservation, even though we had rung up previously the week before. So we had been stolen off our £50 deposit. But they managed to have a room available we stayed in the... More

Elizabeth House B&B London is a run down, grimy establishment. Fine, if you are happy with that but you would be better off in a hostel. Any one searching the web you will come across Elizabeth House own website which shows very dishonest photo's. So dishonest Trading Standards and Tourist Board should shut the website down.

How this hotel got 2 stars is beyond me! I don’t really have a good thing to say about it. Let’s start with the room – didn’t look anything like the pictures. It was a tiny room with a wardrobe, a chair and a small double bed. The floor was uneven, there was a painting that had fallen off the... More

We turned up in London without a booking and this was the only place we could stay for under 100 pounds. The room was tiny, dirty, smelly, damp and the man at the desk was rude. We changed rooms for the second night and our next room was only slightly bigger and less smelly. Housekeeping were noisy and demanded we... More

We got there at 2am and they opened right up for us. Other hotels were £99 and up, this was only £65 total. Believe it or not the breakfast was good and the coffee strong. The downsides: it's older, a bit used, pillows are thin etc. but you get what you pay for and if you want a cheap place... More

As everyone else has said, don't stay here. The televisions don't work, the bathroom which was supposed to be ensuite but was across the hall from the room had a mouldy shower curtain, the breakfast was cheap white toast with jam and butter, cheap cornflakes, coffee, tea and cheap orange juice. The wifi internet wouldn't work in our room, only... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
