Good access to London centre from here, London is expensive for rooms and this was a good option, but not cheap. Room had more beds in than it should have had really and sloped roof, and old-fashioned bedding, but very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, no English cooked breakfast, but basic continetal breakfast was ok to start the day.... More

My friend and I stayed here the first week in June 2008. We had 2 twin bed and shared a bathroom with 1-2 other rooms on the top floor. The room we were assigned has a sink, a wardrobe, a mini fridge, hot water maker, dishes, two beds, a nightstand and a TV. I did a lot of researched and... More

Never stay at this "hotel", NEITHER AT "IVY HOTEL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent a couple of days in London last May, 2008 and I made a reservation for a single room in Cedar Guest House. It's been, by far, the worst hotel I've ever been. I travel a lot, Cuba, India, Singapore, Scotland, Dubai, Mexico, etc; sometimes economy or high budget, but... More

The reviews that i have read so far, do not do this god awful place justice. it has to be the most misrepresented place (could not call this a hotel) on the web. all 3 rooms that we were shown in this and 2 other of their neighbouring hotels were very dated, filthy, smelled of must, and not at all... My partner and I had arrived London from Aberdeen to attend a conference. We headed for Cedar guest house located on 30 Hugh Street, London. We had a two-night booking for a double en-suite room. The first shocker was that we met the entrance door locked. As we looked around, a haggard-looking Indian approached us and asked us to come... More

I am just back from 3 days spent in London at Cedar Guest House. I started to look for a budget hotel from 21st of October and even if I contacted more than 50 facilities, I did not mamage to find the suitable one. Then I received the answer from Cedar; rooms were available and I could book online. I... More

Don't be fooled by the homely pictures on the website as the room you're likely to get wont be any of these. My advice? Ask to see your room before you punch in that all important pin number! The double 'en-suite' my wife and I had was noisy, the tv could not be tuned satisfactorily, no bedside lights, no hairdryer,... More

This hotel was quite small and old. There is no elevator, only narrow stairs. I paid 45 pounds per night to stay in an en suite room. In the states I’m accustomed to much higher quality hotels for this price, but that is very cheap for London. The room was small and the bathroom was about the size of a... More

I originally had a reservation for the Annexe House Hotel, but I was given a room at the Cedar Guest House and was told it was the same. Both hotels as well as several others on that street are owned by the same people and share a lobby. The hotel is better than staying at a hostel for about the... More
