We booked 1 night for New Year's Eve 2015/16. We choose the Jubilee Hotel mainly due to it's proximity to Parliament Square and The Embankment. We paid £120 bed and breakfast but the hotel definitely felt very budget and poor value for money. Positives -Location -Plenty of hot water for showering -Pleasant staff Negatives -Very small ensuite double room (the... More

London is a very expensive city and budget lodging is very hard to come by. This hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes away from Victoria Station (fast communication with the rest of the city, Gatwick Airport and Southern England) and I found an amazingly good online rate (40 pounds). Breakfast was OK and served in a next door... More

Tiny rooms, small beds, hardly and sockets, small tvs cramped. Stayed in three different rooms in this hotel all facing the same problems, need a good deep clean, a renovation and some tlc in the daily looking after of the place. Great location though plenty of restaurants and pubs, shopping centre ten mins walk away, victoria station within 5mins walk... More

This hotel takes the honour of having the tinest room and ensuite bathroom of any hotel I have ever been in, and that includes places like Hong Kong and Tokyo ! Having a 4th floor room meant dragging our bags up steep and narrow stairs, I counted 80 steps in total. Our big suitcases had to be stood up against... More

We were looking for a hotel near Victoria, as we were going to see Wicked. Due to a mix-up, our original booking somewhere else was not available and that hotel sent us here. 135 pounds for a 5-people room right in the centre was a bargain. Yes, the hotel is basic, but it was clean, comfortable and very quiet.

We arrived very late and hungry. Our room was in the basement. The clerk was very helpful in finding a carry out delivery restaurant for us which promptly brought the best pizza ever. The beds were so comfortable and the linens new. They were very helpful folks and even gifted me a book I liked in the breakfast room. What... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location just up from Victoria Coach Station and a short walk away from Buckingham Palace. It wasn't a big fancy hotel but the room was great and just what we needed for a cheap night in London. The beds were very comfy. The staff could have been a bit friendlier, they didn't really engage... More

My room was tiny, and the bed was small as well (definitely not a 2 person bed, as was stated in the description). The hotel's interior looked pretty old, 80s style. Wifi worked only half the time. Breakfast was nice though, and the location of the hotel is really good. But all in all this is way overpriced.

Cheap hotel in central location. On the surface clean room, but more attention to detail required with a duster. Room very small with tiny ensuite which had a nasty smell from drains. Breakfast was basic but adequate for price and staff had a very poor grasp of the English language making simple requests a challenge. My biggest concern is a... More

We stayed here for two nights. Room was barely 6 feet wide. Good thing it was not hot. Hardly room to open suitcases. Breakfast was disappointment. Cold cereal, small yogurt and toast. No fruit. Barebones place - definitely look around for other places unless this is all you can afford. Good location to Victoria Station. Was very expensive room for... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
