I stayed here with my family over the new year celebrations. After a major error by the travel company that we booked with, the lovely receptionists secured rooms for us until the error was sorted. The hotel is spread over two buildings, in a lovely area of Pimlico. The hotel is just five minutes walk to the underground station, but... More

We spend one night in this hotel and for the price is was an excellent bargain. The hotel is located a five minute walk from Pimlico tube station. It was easy to find the hotel from the tube station, take the Lupus exit and walk five minutes to the Pimlico Public Library and the hotel is located across the street... More

Nice staff, a full breakfast was included in the price, and freshly cooked to order, very clean room. Very comfortable bed, good bedding. For the price, it was a bargain. Location was excellent, short walk from Pimlico tube station. The only problem I had was that the room was very warm for me, but thats probably becausTe I am used... More

Booked accommodation at the St George Pimlico after scouring Booking.com for last minute accommodation as I had a raining course and wanted something on the Victoria Line. Spent a night here as it looked really nice. Didn't live up to my expectations though I'm afraid! Firstly couldn't find the accommodation despite several attempts and many well meaning attempts to direct... More

After reading all the negative reviews I was expecting very little. But I have to say it is very well worth the low pricing. In my room on the second floor ( 4th ramps of steep stairs up) The wi-fi had a good signal. The stairs are quite steep but it is like that everywhere else in England. The bathroom... More

I stayed here for two days - got a room on the first floor 6. It was an okay room. Small but enough for one person. Bed was good and clean and the Bath was functioning quite well. The Carpet had seen better days and would need a good vacuuming. The television showed funny stations - that was not good!... More

Lots of steps, quite noisy. Room was small. Tv didn't work, shower door broken and shower awful just a Luke warm dribble. Shower head rusty and not maintained. Bed ok, room average for a single. Didn't have breakfast. Receptionist abrupt and boarding rude.

We can't say that we weren't warned! I had read all the reviews but had thought "what the Hell, we'll give it a go" There were 81 steps to our room (21) Getting the cases up there was bad enough but getting them down again was positively dangerous. On the plus side- the room was small but reasonably clean. It... More

We stayed two nights in September as it was close to a tube station and cheaper than many other London hotels. The first down was an up: upstairs. We had a room on the fourth floor and it was difficult lugging baggage up and up and up the steep stairs. Heart attack territory. The next down was the wi fi.... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
