In fairness, there were some good things about this hotel. The breakfast was generous, tasty and prompt. The neigbborhood is relatively quiet and coveniently situated. However, the bed was unforgivably horrible. It both sagged in the middle and was slightly lower on one side, creating an agonizing combo of jet lag, insomnia, and back pain after 4 nights. We also... We booked this hotel as a stopping off point to beak a long journey. It was very clean and the room was comfortable. The receptionist could not have been more helpful. The split-site nature of the business was a little inconvenient - as was the lack of a lift (unavoidable due to the nature of the building). Breakfast was included... More

I loved this hotel. It was a short walk to the tube, bus, stores... It's an historic old building and no smaller rooms and bathrooms than I expect in Europe. It was perfectly fine for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and fresh, the linens and towels were nice. The breakfast was a full,... More

This is a B&B on two separate sites. I booked two rooms and end up with me in one building and my teenagers in the other building. Not ideal. Then we discovered that room 16 is on one of the top floors and had to climb up a lot of steep steps to get to it. We're talking 5th floor... More

Good location, close to an underground / metro station, with very good connection to and from St. Pancras. Not much else. Room rather rundown, nothing like the pictures they advertise. Very noisy, because of the planes flying quite low throughout the day and the night. No double-glazing. No air-conditioning. Reception located in a different building, about 100 m away. Lots... It's difficult so judge a hotel in London because everything is generally expensive. All in all it's my impression that most hotels in London is a bit worse than comparable hotels around the world. First thing - and the most positive thing: The staff was friendly and helpfull. Plenty of smiles and if you wanted help , you could get... More

I'm currently staying at St George's Pimlico (checking out tomorrow) and we have really enjoyed our stay. The only negatives have been the fact that there is no fan/air condition and especially with how hot it has been (37 degrees) it's sometimes too hot to even sleep in here. The rooms are quite small but have everything you would need.... More

The good points The hotel is a short walk away from Victoria national coach station. Easy to find the reception staff were excellent friendly and nothing was no trouble for them which in all is a good thing. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was free. Now the bad points The room was a bit dated could do with... More

We stayed there for 4 nights. Lived on the 3rd floor (no lift ). The house is quite worn But the room is ok and embedded each day. The breakfast is good. The location is perfect close to the Pimlico station and about 500 m to Viktoria station. The 24 bus have stopps close to the hotel. There are a... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
