Booked accommodation at the St George Pimlico after scouring Booking.com for last minute accommodation as I had a raining course and wanted something on the Victoria Line. Spent a night here as it looked really nice. Didn't live up to my expectations though I'm afraid! Firstly couldn't find the accommodation despite several attempts and many well meaning attempts to direct... More

After reading all the negative reviews I was expecting very little. But I have to say it is very well worth the low pricing. In my room on the second floor ( 4th ramps of steep stairs up) The wi-fi had a good signal. The stairs are quite steep but it is like that everywhere else in England. The bathroom... More

I stayed here for two days - got a room on the first floor 6. It was an okay room. Small but enough for one person. Bed was good and clean and the Bath was functioning quite well. The Carpet had seen better days and would need a good vacuuming. The television showed funny stations - that was not good!... More

Lots of steps, quite noisy. Room was small. Tv didn't work, shower door broken and shower awful just a Luke warm dribble. Shower head rusty and not maintained. Bed ok, room average for a single. Didn't have breakfast. Receptionist abrupt and boarding rude.

We can't say that we weren't warned! I had read all the reviews but had thought "what the Hell, we'll give it a go" There were 81 steps to our room (21) Getting the cases up there was bad enough but getting them down again was positively dangerous. On the plus side- the room was small but reasonably clean. It... More

We stayed two nights in September as it was close to a tube station and cheaper than many other London hotels. The first down was an up: upstairs. We had a room on the fourth floor and it was difficult lugging baggage up and up and up the steep stairs. Heart attack territory. The next down was the wi fi.... More

This wasn't a horrid hotel, but it wasn't so hot, either. Saved money, though, and there was a small grocery on the corner for snacks/water/pop. It's run by Middle-Easterners. I'd prefer a place run by Brits, if I'm in London, but this wasn't my call. No elevator, so we had to wrestle our luggage down two flights of narrow stairs,... More

The only thing that is fine is the location... The staff is not the best, the cleanliness leaves something to be desired and the price is way above expectations!! They took money from the credit card, we gave them for guarantee, without asking! Don't go there!!

I would never stay here again, either by myself (as a single woman) or w/my husband (away on business at the time). You get an actual key for the room, so in my mind it's much more like a B&B rather than a hotel. The room was small and very dated. The photos they show look nice and up-kept, however... More

I stayed 3 nights with a friend. We had a small room at the top floor - many flights of stairs up to the room and no lift !!! We are in our 50'es and found it funny and laughed alot about sharing such a small room !!! We liked the neighbourhood very much - beautiful and very "Upstairs -... More
