Excellent value for money and ticked all the boxes. Spotlessly clean rooms with complimentary tea/coffee, shampoo, shower gel. Very helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast options: cereal, fruit, yogurts, croissants or cooked. Cooked breakfast was quick and beautifully cooked. Ideal location for accessing the Underground into the City centre - only a few stops away. No lift so you must be able... More

I was on a business trip in Lambeth on 20th and 21st January, and since I knew I'd need a place to stay, I booked a single room at The George Hotel back in August at the amazing (for central London) price of £50.00. At that price, I was prepared for 'you get what you pay for'.....but instead, I had... More

Rude receptionist on arrival, room had black mould along ceiling, beneath broken, drafty window and along all sides of shower. In need of refurbishment, dated decoratively. Son's room a cubicle but better, Error of overcharge on bill finally settled, following refusal to refund even after admitting fault. On the plus side....other rooms in party better and location convenient. You pays... More

A bit confusing with 2 entrances. The room was very small and hot. I don`t know anything about the breakfast because i had to leave before serving time. Summary: Worth the money if you are looking for a cheap and simple accommodation, Close to subway station and buses.

This was probably the best hotel in its price range among those where I stayed in London. Of course, you can expect everything accompanying a converted residential building (not-very-private walls, steep worn-out staircase etc), but it was clean and fuctional, including a breakfast made on order. The maitre d' of the breakfast room was very polite and very efficient, compliments.... More

Our room was the basement with trains going passed till all hours...guessing that's why cheap.. very budget but good location to train station and walking distance to the red bus. Alright for a one night stay but we stayed 2 and was very over it.

Hotel is located on St. George, however there is a big sign for the hotel, but this is not the sign to check in. It can get a bit confusing as the check in part is actually at 107 and not 115 where the sign is. Check in is 24 hours, however when I was doing an early check out,... More

Great location very close to major tourist attractions and short walk to the Tube. It's a budget hotel but clean, comfortable and very quiet. Be aware that there is no lift, the rooms are small in size but perfectly adequate..........we had a view of the London Eye from our 4th floor window. Full English breakfast included, served by friendly, helpful... More

Staff was excellent and helpful. Room was the size of a closet which is typical for european budget hotels. The bathroom at least was big enough to close the door which is more than i can say for some I've stayed in before. Area is close to Pimlico station and decent area but not a lot in the immediate vicinity... More

The rooms were very compact but they had all the basics and were comfortable. Breakfast is held in the downstairs of the main building and had a great selection of continental and hot breakfast foods. I would definitely stay here again if coming in via Victoria Station. It is in a nice, quiet area of London.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
