This is a budget type hotel that served our needs without fanfare. We were usually only in the hotel for breakfast and to sleep so it was perfectly fine. They offered small but clean rooms and a nice breakfast. It was very close to the underground station so greater London was easily accessible.

The hotel was clean and for the price i paid was good value. The rooms were of good standard. I was not expecting a luxury Hotel but it was better then travel lodges and cheaper. There was no lift and so carrying the heavy suitcases to the third floor was a struggle. Breakfast was at 7am but my train was... More

Dear Sir/Madam Please note that there are 2 showers on the floor you were staying on, and only one of them has a restriction on the hours it can be used. There is another shower on the same floor which is open 24 hours and can be used at any time you want. More

We stayed there for four night and it was really ok. We wanted a room close to the tube and near the center so this hotel met all our requirements. We went there as tourists so we didn't spend that much time inside but I can say that room is not big but is clean (none of my allergies bother me)... My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It's definitely difficult to find a reasonably priced room in London, so we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. First, the location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from Kings Cross Station. Attractions in the Westminster area are just a few stops away on the Underground, so it's very... More

Smelly room, tired decoration, uncomfortable small bed, and they charge 'strictly' in advance. It has the air an attitude of an old soviet era camp in Siberia, and I type this on my phone, as I wait in line for my breakfast (there are not enough tables for everyone, apparently). Avoid at all cost.

The Hotel Meridiana is one of the many small, basic hotels in the square opposite Kings Cross. My room was tiny, but the bed was comfortable, there was no street noise due to the location on the square, the shower worked, and breakfast was adequate and quick. Everything I want from a cheap hotel.

The hotel may not be the most fancy place to stay at or the room that huge, but for the price and location this hotel is ideal. The hotel is located conveniently by King's Cross station and a lot of eateries in the area. The hotel is yes down an alley way, but we never felt not safe and as... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
