We were two people staying for one night at the Meridiana and had a double room facing the back of the hotel. King's Cross Station was just 5min away, Euston station 10min. The room was small but that was to expected. Walls were thin and floors did creak but apart from that we had a pleasant stay in a room... More

My husband and I stayed here for five days. Its a block from Kings Cross Station, and two blocks from the British Library, and we found a handful of great restaurants within walking distance. This was the first place in Europe I ever stayed, and so I read a lot about how to curb my expectations before hand-- There will... More

We have stayed here twice now and we have found it clean, comfortable and perfectly located just outside Kings Cross station. Just what you need for a couple of days in London. Price includes a full english breakfast with orange juice and coffee/tea. Friendly service and an added bonus is that there is an option to leave suitcases securely in... More

I booked this room based on some of the good reviews here. I'm used to small rooms when I stay in London, but this was unbelievably small (we were in room 5). The room was quite musty and in need of an update. I don't even think our bed was actually full-sized. The staff wasn't rude, but they weren't particularly... More

Purchased the most basic room for a couple nights and it was a very pleasant experience. Room simple, clean and quiet, staff friendly, facilities good, excellent location (about a minute or so walk from King's Cross), actual working wifi, but adequate breakfast (you get what you pay for I suppose... At least I got a breakfast!) Great for anyone on... More

Some previous reviews had not been so complementary, so it was with some allowances already being made in our heads that we arrived at the hotel. What an idyllic spot right overlooking a little green space square. I had a rental and was just dropping our luggage off before returning the car, when the staff were very helpful and stored... Our family (2 parents, 2 teenagers) stayed in Hotel Meridiana for 5 nights. We choose this hotel for its location and price. At the end of our trip we had to catch the Eurostar to Paris and it was good to be close for carrying all our luggage (the hotel is approximately 5-10 minutes away from King's Cross/St. Pancras International... We arrived at around 10 pm and were given a friendly, efficient welcome. Our room was on the small side but it was clean and appeared to have been recently decorated (except for skirting board which was in need of a lick of paint). The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine. I had been a little concerned about... More

Amazing location perfect for visiting London, right beside kings cross under ground. Rooms were very small maybe a little more space would been nicer. Clean and adequate facilities. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient.

I kick myself for not discovering this little gem of a hotel before. I've been travelling from Yorkshire to London on business for ten years, staying in an increasingy expensive Travelodge either in Kings Cross or Farringdon. The Meridiana is a budget hotel in leafy Argyle Square five minues outside Kings Cross St. Pancras. It says what it does on... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
