Probably the worst hotel I've been in for a while. No hot water in the room all night and morning, grumpy and stoned staff, aggressive receptionist, a breakfast consisting of a tea spoon of egg smeared across a slice of damp white bread served by surly staff with stained ripped t shirts. Just don't do it. more

Family of 5 stayed in this little hotel for a week and we loved it. Not a large room - especially for 5 beds but in London you dont tend to spend much time in the hotel anyway. All beds were firm and comfortable. Bathroom is small but just big enough with toilet, shower and basin. Breakfast is very good... more

My second time at the Mentone in a month. Had a small single ensuite on the second floor, facing the street. Shower is under the stairs, so a little bit cramped for headroom - I'm not sure why they didn't opt for a hose fitting. The bed was verging on uncomfortable, and the "pillow" was below average. We stayed at the Mentone Hotel 3 nights with our 2 teenage daughters in a quad room at 1st level. Great location, very quiet. Price-quality is good, we loved staying there and would go back a next time. Friendly personal. For this price you cann't expect a great furnished, brand new hotel with big rooms! more
