This hotel is reasonably placed for transport links ( bakerloo line, circle and district lines) and has plenty of cafes and shops close to hand. It is just around the corner from St Mary's Hospital. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and reasonably warm until we closed the curtains ( they were full length so covered... More

We booked in and found ourselves in a small but cosy room tucked under the stairs. First impression was depression! Decor was dated and wallpaper was peeling, bathroom was tiny with very basis toiletry items. We were woken early but people staying upstairs walking around on their laminate flooring. To be honest, it felt more like a hostel. It was... More

I went to the hotel dreading my stay! I was wrong. The staff where friendly, the room was warm, clean and although basic it served its purpose. It's ideally situated for travel or walking and I will defiantly be staying here again! Excellent value, tea/coffee facilities inc. A very pleasant experience overall.

Booked 2 nights, couldn't bear to stay the second as it was awful, so we caught the last rain home. The photos on their website do not give a good representation of the awful room we had. It was dreadfully decorated. The room was cold due to the bed being a double in what seemed a single room and rammed... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, booked the hotel as part of a deal with Groupon. Made the basic error of booking the hotel and THEN reading the Tripadvisor reviews. I was really fearing the worst when I read some of the reviews....however... There are pros and cons with this hotel ...it's not a " 3-star" hotel as it claims...more like an... More

Well, where to start for this hotel. I stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived at about 10 am and were offered a room that was available right away. Originally we should have had a room on a top floor toward the street and we got a basement room toward the street. We choose the one we could access right... More

Just returned from a short break at this hotel. The positives for this hotel are - location, Paddington & edgeware underground within a 5 minute walk. Hyde park, reagents park, marble arch,Oxford street all within walking distance. Good restaurants minutes walk away. Found staff all friendly & helpful. Negatives - hotel is in desperate need of major renovation, double glazing... More

The worst hotel! Run away! I stayed 2 nights in this hotel and I was very badly received. The person in the reception who is called Shalam was very unpleasant. He sighed in the slightest question and offended me when I left because I had allowed to tell him that he was not very pleasant with the clientele. The only... More

booked two months in advance, they only had a basement room available when we arrived even there was a vacancy board displayed. The shower was dirty, too small, the cover fell off the controls, the tap dripped in the basin, the toilet didn't work properly. There were no windows in the room. It should have only had a single bed,... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
